We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jordynn Greeson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jordynn below.
Jordynn, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
A lot of my creativity comes from staying connected. To my clients, my craft, and my energy. My brand, Shear Witchery, is really rooted in that idea of blending the spiritual with the creative. It’s about trusting intuition, reading the energy in the room, and creating looks that feel aligned with who someone truly is.
When I’m behind the chair, it’s more than just doing hair, it’s a ritual. It’s where I channel creativity, intuition, and connection all at once. That’s what keeps it alive for me.
I’ve also learned that part of protecting my creativity is knowing when to say no. Whether that’s to certain projects, energy, or anything that doesn’t align with what I love to do. Having that confidence to set boundaries lets me pour fully into the things that do inspire me.
At the end of the day, my creativity grows when I stay grounded in who I am, and allow myself to create from that space of intention and magic.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
For almost a decade, I’ve been immersed in the world of hair, and it’s become such a natural extension of who I am. For the past three years, I’ve been rooted at Capellini Salon, where I’ve truly been able to grow and create from the heart.
Every day behind the chair feels like a chance to make art. It’s where creativity and connection come together. I love exploring color theory, energy, and individuality through my work, and lately I’ve been especially drawn to vivid fashion colors and experimenting with new techniques that keep things fresh and exciting.
My brand, Shear Witchery, embodies the spiritual side of creativity. It’s about trusting intuition, creating with intention, and helping people feel both seen and aligned in their own magic. For me, hair isn’t just about transformation on the outside: it’s about energy, confidence, and artistry coming together in one experience.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My biggest piece of advice is to stay curious and stay true to yourself. In the beginning, it’s easy to feel like you have to do everything or fit into what everyone else is doing, but the real magic happens when you start trusting your own instincts and finding what lights you up.
Take the time to learn, ask questions, and get uncomfortable. It’s how you grow. But also remember to protect your energy and give yourself space to recharge. Creativity can’t thrive in burnout.
For me, Shear Witchery is about creating from intuition and intention, and I think that’s something every artist can carry into their journey. Don’t rush the process. Let yourself evolve, keep saying yes to what inspires you, and have the confidence to say no to what doesn’t align.
That’s where your true artistry starts to bloom.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who values the creative process and trusts me to bring their vision to life. I love working with people who see their hair as a form of self-expression and who are open to transformation, whether it’s something subtle and soulful or bold and vibrant.
The clients who fit best with me are those who appreciate artistry and connection. They’re not just coming in for a quick service; they’re coming in for an experience. They trust my eye, my intuition, and the energy I bring to the space.
Shear Witchery is about creating with intention, and that means I love clients who are patient with the process, excited to collaborate, and willing to let a little magic happen in the chair. When that mutual trust and energy align, that’s when the real artistry comes through.
