Hi Jorge, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?
Developing my ability to take risks has been a journey of “learning by doing”. Like many others, I made my fair share of mistakes during my whole career. However, these missteps were invaluable in teaching me the realities of risk-taking. Moreover, by working alongside others, I had the opportunity to learn from their experiences and expertise. I always aimed to absorb as much as I could, especially the positive lessons and strategies that could be applied to my own endeavors.
Risk-taking, I believe, is an integral part of everyday life. From the moment we step out of our homes, we engage in some form of risk. This perspective has been crucial for me. It has helped me understand that without taking risks, there’s no real opportunity for success. The concept of ‘getting out of your comfort zone’ is more than a cliché; it’s a fundamental truth in both personal and professional growth.
The more I ventured beyond my comfort zone, the more comfortable I became to the uncertainties and potential rewards of taking risks. Gradually, risk-taking scenarios became part of my new comfort zone. This doesn’t mean the risks became any less significant, but rather that I became more used to navigating them.
This mindset has been key in my journey, helping me embrace challenges and opportunities with a balanced perspective.

I’m thrilled to share more about my professional journey and the exciting developments at our company, Wiblion. At its core, Wiblion is about simplifying the complex world of web design and development for small and medium-sized businesses. Our mission has always been to offer accessible, affordable, and efficient hosting with website management solutions based on WordPress framework.
What I find most exciting and special about our work is the constant evolution and adaptation to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. We’re not just a business; we’re a dynamic platform that grows and transforms alongside technological advancements and customer expectations.
In the last year, Wiblion is undergoing significant changes to enhance our offerings. We’re focusing on providing more flexibility for web designers and developers. This includes allowing them to choose their preferred tools, ensuring faster server response times, and improving overall service efficiency. We understand that, most of the times, the one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work in the creative industry. That´s why, we’re tailoring our services to meet the specific needs of our clients by offering them more options to build their own websites.
This year marks a pivotal moment for us, as we are getting deeper into AI on web design tools. We’re also expanding our product range to include cloud storage solutions, AI content generation tools, and advanced visual design aids for platforms such as Canva.
In the coming months, our clients can look forward to find new services and improvements around Wiblion´s platform that reflect our commitment to innovation. Our journey is not just about our growth; it’s about growing together with our clients and empowering them to achieve their digital aspirations.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I can identify three crucial elements that have been instrumental in my growth and success: self-learning, effective communication, and the ability to assess potential and risks.
Firstly, the ability to learn independently has been fundamental. In a rapidly evolving world, especially in the technology and business sectors, being a self-starter in learning is invaluable. It’s all about having the curiosity to explore new ideas and the perseverance to acquire new skills outside of formal education. For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating a habit of continuous learning. Embrace online courses, read extensively, and engage in communities related to your field. The more you learn, the more adaptable and versatile you become.
Secondly, effective communication has been a cornerstone. The ability to articulate ideas clearly, listen actively, and empathize with others, whether they are clients, colleagues, or partners, is crucial. Good communication fosters better relationships and enables successful collaboration. For those looking to improve this skill, practice is key. Engage in discussions, attend networking events, and perhaps most importantly, be open to feedback.
Lastly, the ability to measure potential and risks and not being afraid to take them has been vital. Understanding the balance between risk and reward, and having the courage to step into the unknown, has opened many doors for me. For those at the beginning of their careers, my advice is to not shy away from challenges. Assess opportunities carefully, but don’t let fear of failure prevent you from taking calculated risks. Every setback is a learning opportunity.
Generally, focus on cultivating a lifelong habit of learning, hone your communication skills, and learn to balance risk-taking with prudent decision-making. These skills are not just valuable in business; they are essential life skills that will serve anyone in many facets of their personal and professional life.
