We recently connected with Josefine Holmberg and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Josefine, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
I have always loved to challenge myself for some reason, for as long as I can remember. I always strive to be my very best self, not for anyone else, just for myself. I find that the more risks I take, the more I love and enjoy living my life. The risks in my life are things that challenge me outside of my comfort zone and things that makes me grow as a person. I do it both for myself personally, but also to be able to better help other people. I developed this ability through always strive to be better and to challenge myself. The more I challenge myself to learn and grow, the more I feel alive and happy! It’s a way for me to not stay stagnant and instead keep evolving and becoming better and better each and every day as a person and at different things.
The way to do it is through each and every day challenge yourself in some way. It doesn’t need to be anything crazy, it can be something small or something big. I first figure out a goal I have that I want to accomplish, I write down what i need to do to get there and I put one foot infront of the other and I do something every day to get closer and closer to that goal and to challenge myself. The more you keep doing this the more you’ll love the process and the quicker you’ll get to your desired goal and your desired results. It works in any area of your life and with any goal you have!
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Josefine Holmberg & I moved to LA December 2015 without knowing one single person, just me myself and I and two big suitcases and a backpack. I had a big dream about moving to LA, learn English better and see and explore a new culture. I fell in love with the city and I’m so happy to be living in the city of angels and opportunities!!!
I have studied real estate, fitness and entertainment business at UCLA extension and my vision is to combine it all, as I’m really passionate about all of it.
Right now my main business is working as a personal trainer and massage therapist with celebrities in person and helping people around the world online by living their healthiest and happiest life. I’m all about health and longevity and I want to help millions of people around the world to live their best and healthiest lives. I have been lucky enough to coach and help people to get ready for movie roles and perform their best as music producers, high level executives and reach overall health and physique goals. I have worked with actors and artists you might recognize!
Myself, I’m competing in bikini fitness and have several first placements as a NPC Bikini Fitness competitor here in the US and in Europe. I’m very proud of the body transformation I have done throughout the years.
I’m really excited about what the future has in store for me within the entertainment business both as an actor and an on set trainer, but also as an online health coach and entrepreneur in LA.
I’m a big dreamer and believer and I know that whatever I set my mind to is possible and I’m fortunate enough to have Arnold Schwarzenegger himself as my mentor and dear friend.
I want to help, inspire and motivate billions of people around the world to live their best, healthiest, happiest and longest life! Together with all of you I want to spread health and happiness I couldn’t do it without all people supporting and following me on this journey!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Believe in yourself! First of all belief! It all starts with you believing in yourself, your goal and your vision.
Secondly, work hard and smart! When you believe in the vision you have set out you have to put in the work, work hard but also work smart! It’s important to not overwork yourself, you have to rest and recover as much as working hard in anything you do. Just as your body need rest days from training it is important to take rest days from work as well and enjoy quality time with yourself and loved ones.
The third thing is to take small action steps daily and never stop. You just have to keep going and take steps daily, it doesn’t matter how big or small the step is, you just have to keep moving forward.
Believe in yourself, I believe in you!!!
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Arnold Schwarzenegger
My answer to that question is really easy, Arnold has been my biggest inspiration, motivation but also support! I’m so lucky to have him in my life, he has paved the path to really see what is possible if you believe in yourself and work hard but also enjoy life.
What he has accomplished in his life so far is so inspiring and he’s not done yet. I know he will accomplish a lot of more amazing things. It’s so inspiring to see him keep working hard and inspire so many people around the world.
He has helped me understand the importance of having a vision and to take daily action in order to reach that goal. To believe in yourself and never give up!
His book “Be Useful” is amazing, I highly recommend you to read or listen to it!
