Meet Joseph Termini

We were lucky to catch up with Joseph Termini recently and have shared our conversation below.

Joseph, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Hi! My name is Joseph Termini, I’m a 17-year-old Videographer/Photographer & Philanthropist, (Owner of Termini Media). I was born and raised in Kansas City. Let’s jump back to the beginning of my story.

When I was a little toddler, I used to tell my mom, “Put me behind the TV so I can be on TV Mommy!” At the time, I thought that putting myself behind the TV would show me through the TV, lol. After that, my mom already knew I had a special passion for being in the spotlight/media. So that’s where it all started.

At 5 years old, I was connected to a modeling agency for modeling and acting and immediately started doing very well, as I was hired by Lee Jean’s and Hallmark, doing both modeling and acting for them. I also was the voice actor for many Hallmark Books and Toys throughout my youngest youth years until I was about 12. I still do modeling and acting, which is still one of my passions. Later in life, when I was 7 years old, I found a strong passion for video editing.

Being the kid who loved Fortnite, and all video games, I saw a lot of video editors creating amazing work, and I was inspired. I had started editing gaming videos and had a natural talent for it. When I was 10, I was hired for my first paid gigs, Fortnite Videos, and Call Of Duty, all for gaming YouTubers. Later I was hired by a gaming organization. After a few months, I was promoted and was given the role of Lead of Visual Effects. I continued to pursue this as I got older and improved my skillset day by day.

I am now 17 years old, and my love for the art of Media Creation (Videography and Photography) has grown stronger and stronger. I officially started my own business in 2023 called ( Termini Media. ) I provide clients with passion-filled media productions and jaw-dropping photo creation. I don’t just take videos and photos; I put love, compassion, and dedication into my work. A perfect combination of professionalism and personal moments, all in one business, and my clients appreciate that.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am most recently excited about my latest opportunities to work with the KANSAS CITY LEGEND Tech N9NE & Strange Music – thanks to some special people who believed in my business. Back when I first started editing videos, Tech N9NE was one of my biggest inspirations & favorite artists. I would extract his music videos and create my own edits of him all of the time. SO the fact that 10 years later I’m sitting down with Tech at his headquarters, planning our work together, is surreal.

A special thank you goes to High Deafinician / Unconventional KingZ for always supporting me, and building the bridge between myself and Strange Music. You chose to take the chance and invest in my work despite my young age, but you chose right! Thank you for believing in me, my work, and what I can create with my lens. I could never be more grateful..

My mother, JoAnna Termini, is my source of motivation and personal manager for my business. She has unreal artistic talent, as she has been an abstract artist since she was old enough to hold a crayon in her little hand, so when I don’t see something, she can spot ways to bring my work to the next level. You can call us a dynamic duo 😎 So when someone chooses my services for Videography and Photography, you’re not just supporting me, but you’re supporting a Son & Mother Duo that strives to bring the best work forward in the creative industry..

Capturing moments through the lens isn’t just a passion; it’s a lifestyle with storytelling, creativity, and the magic of transforming ordinary scenes into extraordinary films. It’s not just a skill; it’s a heartfelt journey of bringing businesses, ideas, emotions, journeys, and memories to life through the art of visual storytelling.

My film and photo services provide you cutting-edge equipment and techniques to ensure that every frame is captured with precision. From seamless transitions to engaging editing. I prioritize technical excellence, delivering videos that not only look impressive but also convey your business projects, fitness routines, and/or anything you throw at me, with clarity, quality, and engaging impact. All for a price you can love. I strive to offer the best prices in all of Kansas City to ensure, that not only am I growing myself and my business, but that I can also support you and your business/journey as well, without breaking your bank

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I can say this. For anyone who is looking to build a business. Think about these three things. Do you love the work? Does that work have a solid potential to gain a client base? Are you willing to fail over and over but have the courage to push through and use those mistakes as growth to build your brand?

Those three things have to be checked off your list.

My business has a perfect combination of professionalism and personal moments, all in one business. My clients state that working with me is fun, engaging, enjoyable, and not rushed. Multiple clients have stated they appreciate my honesty and transparency, and overall strongly believe my service stands out from others because I do not just take videos and photos. Still, I also take the time to get to know my clients more personally to bolster the quality of content we can produce together as a team. I know many businesses rush you and make you feel pressured, pushing you out of your comfort zone.

I believe in not rushing the clients, allowing them to feel calm, happy, and excited rather than timed, pressured, and strict. I do not believe in the common 15-minute and get-out sessions that a lot of media creators force upon their clients, especially how if you take too long, they charge you extra. I want real smiles, real laughs. Not fake, stressed smiles, and forced laughs. I want every dime of my client’s purchases to make them feel worthwhile and confident.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Every. Single. DAY. I improve. From video to video, from photo to photo, I always critique myself and develop further. I cannot be comfortable where I am because that’s not how people grow.

Along with this, I have a strong passion as a philanthropist. I strive to make changes and improvements to Kansas City. My mother and I have hosted multiple fundraising art raffle events, featuring her artwork as an outlet to help our Kansas City children and families in need. I strive to build bigger and bigger outlets to support our city and continue to make a difference in this city. My love for helping the community is something I will never lose.

KMBC 9 News has recently recognized my movement to improve our city, and they’re officially following my journey to make a difference. I’ve had 3 segments on KMBC 9 NEWS speaking about my effort to raise funds for the organization Operation Breakthrough and wonderful chiefs player Travis Kelce’s 87&Running organization, and we plan on continuing this journey.
