Meet Jp Martin

We were lucky to catch up with Jp Martin recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi JP, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

Helping people through healing kind of found me rather than the other way around. In 2017, it all became impossible to ignore—I started feeling this intense heat in my hands, and before I knew it, I was telling people who were struggling with physical, emotional, or mental issues, “Do you mind if I come over and lay my hands on you?” I had no idea what was happening, but I knew I couldn’t fight it!

I’ve always been drawn to spirituality. I believed in reincarnation from a young age and saw plenty of psychics throughout my life, but if you had told me back then that I’d one day be a healer myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. And yet, here I am—one of the many people in this world who’ve been called to help others heal.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

First, I have to say—my path has been anything but conventional. Born and raised in the heart of Wallonia, the French-speaking part of Belgium, my first love was storytelling. With a journalism degree in hand, I spent over three decades as a print and TV entertainment reporter, diving deep into the dazzling world of celebrities. But what I didn’t realize back then was that I wasn’t just interviewing them—I was intuitively reading their energy.

Spirituality has always been woven into my life, drawing me toward Buddhism, reincarnation, Kundalini, meditation, and tantra. But my true awakening didn’t begin until 2012, when I moved to Los Angeles as the Hollywood correspondent for Belgium’s most popular publication. The stress and anxiety of those years cracked me open, revealing a new path. In my darkest moments, my beloved grandmother Elisabeth—who had long passed—began communicating with me through automatic writing. Her messages were clear: I would meet people who would guide me to my higher calling. And she was right.

In the radiant energy of California, I embraced my gift. In the spring of 2017, I felt an intense heat in my left hand—an undeniable, burning energy, a power to heal. Over time, both hands awakened, and I knew this was my purpose. Healing isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. While I learned Reiki to give structure to my practice, my work is deeply intuitive. I’m here to help you restore balance, release energetic blocks, and awaken your own inner light.

Beyond energy healing, I also read Tarot, and in 2024, I expanded my practice to include Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)—a method developed by renowned hypnotherapist Dolores Cannon. This profound technique uses hypnosis to guide you through past lives, offering clarity on life’s challenges and patterns. By exploring previous lifetimes, you can uncover the root causes of certain aspects of your current life and create meaningful, lasting change.

Each session lasts between four and five hours, beginning with a two-hour conversation where you share details about your life and the areas you wish to heal, change, or improve. Next, I guide you into a deep Theta state using visualization techniques, allowing you to access past life memories. I facilitate the process by asking in-depth questions, gathering insight from your past experiences.

After the regression, I connect with your Higher Self (or Subconscious Mind), which provides guidance, answers to your prepared questions, and even initiates profound healing on physical, mental, and emotional levels—all using your own voice. This hypnosis segment lasts up to two hours.

Once you’re fully awake, we review the session together, discussing the revelations and messages uncovered from up to three past lives. You’ll also receive an audio recording of the session so you can revisit it for deeper understanding and continued personal growth.

Past life regression has become my primary focus, and when someone books a session with me, I make sure they get the absolute best experience possible. My goal is to work with those who are truly ready to explore their subconscious, heal, and transform their lives.

If you feel called to this journey, visit www.jpmartinhealing.com to book a session. While I’m active on social media, I believe the most powerful way to connect with those who need this work is through word-of-mouth—so if you’ve had a session with me and found it meaningful, I’d love for you to share your experience with friends and family.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

For me, being a truly valuable spiritual practitioner isn’t just about techniques—it’s about cultivating essential human qualities that we all have but need to consciously develop. The first and most important is presence. When a client comes for a session, I believe it’s crucial to be fully in the moment with them. Presence allows for deep listening, giving the client the space to express themselves freely, without judgment. And from deep listening naturally comes empathy—the ability to step into their shoes, feel what they’re feeling, and truly connect.

Interestingly, I first honed these skills in my 20s as a journalist, interviewing celebrities. Being fully present, focused, and attuned to their energy was part of the job, and I later realized how vital these same skills are in spiritual work.

Beyond presence and empathy, trusting intuition is key. In my Reiki sessions, I always begin with a 30-minute conversation before the client lies down for treatment. During this time, I channel messages from what I call spiritual guides—insights and guidance meant specifically for them. To do this, I must remain completely open, letting go of any mental interference. It’s about receiving, flowing with the moment, and surrendering to the process.

Finally, like in any profession, experience is invaluable. The more you practice, the more confident and refined your abilities become. Growth is a continuous journey, and every session deepens my understanding and strengthens my connection to this work. My advice to those starting out? Be present, listen deeply, trust your intuition, and keep going—because mastery comes with time and practice.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

Like many spiritual healers, I am highly sensitive—I don’t just feel energy, I overfeel it. This deep sensitivity is a gift, but it can also be overwhelming. One of my biggest challenges is remembering to protect my own energy before a Reiki or past life regression session. If I don’t set strong energetic boundaries, I absorb too much of my client’s emotions, which can be draining. I always say, I’m a sponge!

Another challenge is the transition between the spiritual and material worlds. When I facilitate a session, I’m completely immersed in the unseen realm, deeply connected to the energy and messages flowing through. But grounding myself back into everyday life afterward can be tricky—it sometimes triggers anxiety because, again, I feel everything so intensely!

Thankfully, I’ve developed tools to navigate this. Deep breathing, drinking lots of water, taking long walks in nature, and carrying my trusted black obsidian stone all help me stay balanced and protected.

On a different note, another challenge is self-promotion on social media. I’m definitely not a marketing expert, but I recognize that online visibility is essential in today’s world. At the same time, I trust that the universe will always bring me the people who are meant to find me. Energy flows where it’s meant to go.
