Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Juan with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Many factors, including personal values, upbringing, education, experiences, and individual motivation, have influenced my work ethic. Most of my work ethic was acquired from my parents and other family members, who instilled the importance of hard work, discipline, and dedication early on.
There’s also the influence of successful individuals in my field or industry, who have demonstrated strong work ethics. Observing the dedication and achievements of these role models has inspired me to develop my work ethic.
External factors, such as financial incentives, recognition, or competition, have also influenced my work ethic, not to mention previous bosses. While intrinsic motivation is often considered more sustainable, external rewards or pressures remain significant.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My journey has been quite interesting. I’m an immigrant from Venezuela, and adapting to a new market was tough, it required numerous qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that had a significant impact on me and my business. For me, resilience and perseverance were crucial. Having a successful business involved encountering obstacles, setbacks, and failures along the way. Bouncing back from challenges and maintaining a resilient mindset were essential. When you have a solid determination to overcome obstacles, adapt to changing circumstances, and persevere despite setbacks everything flows.
In today’s rapidly evolving world, the ability to learn, adapt, and embrace change is vital. I was always open to acquiring new knowledge and skills so I could stay ahead of the curve and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
I was constantly seeking out growth opportunities, engaging in self-improvement, and was always open to feedback.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Being a business owner comes with its unique set of challenges. I often wear multiple hats and juggle numerous responsibilities, leading to time management challenges. I try to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, delegate responsibilities whenever possible, and use productivity tools or techniques to optimize my time.
Generating leads, attracting customers, and effectively marketing my services can be daunting. I always develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for my clients. I identify their target audience and utilize online and offline marketing channels to reach them. I have invested in building a strong online presence through website optimization, social media engagement, and content marketing. But building relationships with potential clients through networking has been my number one sales channel.
Balancing the demands of running a business with personal well-being can be challenging. I set boundaries between work and personal life, prioritize self-care, and allocate time for relaxation, hobbies, and spending quality time with my family.
