Meet Judell Rome

We were lucky to catch up with Judell Rome recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Judell with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My work ethic is rooted in the spirited nature of individuals that make efforts to inspire creativity and positive change in the world. Throughout my journey, adversity led to humble beginnings that seem to mystically weave itself together as a teacher and anchor in my life. Learning how to constantly transmute unfavorable odds helped me develop a keen sense of awareness of various environments and creative endeavors. My natural desire of learning new things forced me to be self taught in various hobbies and work-related fields.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My origins began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The historical culture of my beginnings are very much a defining part of who I am today. The “old school” lifestyle from my ancestors still permeate today. Working at a young age was one of those Innate qualities. optimism is one of my greatest gifts. I live by the idea that everything works out in our favor at the end of the day. Im always seeking better ways to fine tune my art. As a music artist, much of my creativity is influenced by everyday experiences. My vision is to convey art and imagery in way that unique to me and connects to anyone who resonates. The most exciting part about creating music is the ability incorporate complimentary art forms that help bring my ideas to life such as: graphic design, film and producing my own beats.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Not only optimism, but consistency and patience molded me to be who I am today. My journey constantly teaches me that everyday is met with a new challenge, but knowing that it can be handled gracefully allows for this experience to be met with excitement and vigor. Taking the approach of living life one day at a time has a tremendous impact on my health, spirit and work.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, was one that seemed to be life changing for me. It manifested at a time I was in a low point or what I prefer to acknowledge as a spiritual awakening. An insight of wisdom that gained from this text was the awareness that we have the tools to shaped our life into something positive under any circumstance.
