Meet Judy Redlich

We were lucky to catch up with Judy Redlich recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Judy with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I grew up in a home where we learned how to work hard from our parents and other good role models along the way.I saw a plaque on one of my boss’s desk that said “The only way to fail is to give up. and my own moto is “nothing good comes easy” So you go after your goal till you either reach it, or

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. My husband, Ray and I have been happily married for almost 42 years. I am passionate about helping people tell their story and find their highest potential I reach thousands of people weekly with my radio show, Encounter., and through NLECTV. I love to give an opportunity to the visionary to get their message out to a larger audience. I speak regularly for St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired about living well with vision loss. I love helping people realize the life they can live despite limitations. Life Coaching is my outlet to help people discover their goals, and purpose. I enjoy giving them steps to move forward. I like to write and hope to have my first book published soon.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Persistence despite the odds, my pioneer spirit, and heroes who inspired me along the way. The only way to fail is to give up. Having a deep faith in Jesus Christ will give you a leg up.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My mom and dad helped me to grow up to be an overcomer. They took a leap of faith to send me through the Lutheran Parochial School System. as their first student with a disability in the nation. This energized my pioneering spirit. later I graduated college with majors in journalism and psychology.
