Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Judy Ta. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Judy, so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?
Burnout often happens when we’re running on autopilot or doing things just because we feel like we “should.” That pressure to constantly be productive, especially when it’s not aligned with what actually matters to you, is a fast track to feeling drained.
One thing that helps me and my clients is giving yourself permission to rest and realizing not everything needs to happen immediately. I had a client once who was constantly overwhelmed because her to-do list never ended. When we broke it down, she realized most of those tasks were based on assumptions — things she thought she “had to do,” not things that were actually meaningful or necessary. She was doing work just to feel productive, and it was exhausting her.
So if you’re feeling burnt out, first ask: Is this meaningful to me? Then break things down. Find the root cause — is it procrastination, stress, lack of clarity? From there, create small steps forward that are manageable and aligned.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a business coach who helps women turn their goals into something that’s sustainable and enjoyable — not just a grind. I focus on helping people move forward in a way that actually makes sense for them. Not based on hustle culture or some template — but something intentional, personal, and doable.
I’ve worked with both scrappy one-person businesses and billion-dollar corporations, and that experience helps me bring strategy without overwhelm. My approach is holistic — because let’s be real, it’s not just about business. Life stuff shows up too. So we work on both.
What’s most exciting to me is when someone finally feels like, “Okay, I know what I’m doing, and it feels good. It feels like me.” That shift — from confusion and pressure to clarity and confidence — is everything.
Right now, I’m continuing to build out resources and conversations through my podcast, Munchies and Money Moves, and growing my coaching offerings for women ready to make career shifts or stabilize their businesses in a way that actually fits their life.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Authenticity. People can feel when you’re showing up as yourself versus when you’re trying to play a role. Owning your story, your style, and your values helps you attract the right people and builds real trust. Advice: Notice when you’re over-explaining or trying to prove yourself. That’s often a sign you’re not grounded in your own voice yet. Practice showing up even if it’s not perfect.
2. Learning how to gather & trust the data. Not just numbers — but feedback, patterns, your own habits. I like to ask: “What’s this trying to tell me?” That lens helps you make better decisions without spiraling.
Advice: Track what works, reflect often, and don’t ignore how things feel just because they “should” work on paper.
3. Resilience with intention. It’s not about pushing through everything — it’s about knowing when to pause, pivot, or keep going.
Advice: Learn to tell the difference between discomfort that leads to growth and the kind that leads to burnout. That distinction matters.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
1. Women entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed. They’re trying to build something meaningful but don’t know how to make it sustainable. They’re stuck in a cycle of doing everything, feeling like it’s never enough, and they need help figuring out how to prioritize and build systems that work for them.
2. Women who are unfulfilled in their current jobs. They know they want something more aligned — maybe it’s starting a business, maybe it’s a career pivot — but they’re not sure how to start, what steps to take, or what they really need to feel secure making a shift. I help them test their ideas in a low-pressure way, figure out what lights them up, and build a plan that doesn’t throw their whole life off track.
