Meet Jules Lavallee

We recently connected with Jules Lavallee and have shared our conversation below.

Jules, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My bold journey has been an anomaly. I have always known at a young age that the power of the word and media hold the key to success. I wanted to be an Anchorwoman. I wanted to make a difference in the world. I realized quickly that I would have no say to the stories aired, the men in the executive office determined the stories. I then went to write for Software Magazine and CIO Magazine. At this time, technology was hot, and people were making a fortune. So, I dressed the part. I wore suits every day and I gained the respect in the industry. It was a great confidence builder to work with the most successful CEO’s of tech companies. My contacts at the time were going IPO and selling their companies for $250M+ and we would be thinking how wonderful it is to be respected.

When you associate with high-level people you must carry yourself with confidence or you won’t last long.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a successful Celebrity Writer. I cover celebrities, global leaders, and entrepreneurs for over 30 magazines. As a freelancer, I decide who I will interview. I enjoy the autonomy. I work with hundreds of PR Professionals and Publicists globally. Being a Celebrity Writer has opened doors to opportunities globally. I am always looking for inspiring women to interview. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Intelligence. Persistence. Communication

Write every day. Network daily. Build a global network via LinkedIn.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am not in an ocean alone. Collaboration is critical to my success. I am always looking to collaborate with entrepreneurs. I have built one of the biggest networks on the planet. I am connected with celebrities, royals, high-profile entrepreneurs, and global leaders. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a global connector.
