We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Julie Costa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Julie below.
Julie, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I struggled with having clarity on my purpose and finding my purpose. It wasn’t until I discovered hypnotherapy and subconscious reprogramming, that I truly started to discover it. These modalities allowed me to start tuning out the external noise and to start going inward more, something I hadn’t done before. More time spent inward allowed me to gain clarity on my purpose.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a Master Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Trainer.
I help others more easily achieve their goals with hypnotherapy and subconscious reprogramming.
And I teach, train and certify others in these same modalities to do the same with others inside of Anchored Coaching Certification Program.
I’m obsessed with what I do because of the ripple effect it has! That’s the most exciting part.
What’s most special is being able to support others on a much deeper level.
Helping others to identify blocks and remove those blocks as well as doubts, fears and limiting beliefs to step into a more empowering identity is so freaking beautiful to watch and so rewarding.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Tuning out the external noise and going inward – learning how to tune out the external noise and to go inward to listen to my own thoughts and intuition has been priceless. We consume so much information on the daily and hardly have any time to sit and be with ourselves. I highly recommend finding time by going for walks or a drive without listening to anything. Walks in silence are dreamy 😉
Prioritizing self care. Before, I’d put everyone and everything before myself. Now I ensure I prioritize my own self care first because I truly can’t give to others without giving to myself first. This is the foundation for success in other areas of your life.
Reprogramming your limiting beliefs. It’s never a lack of knowledge that keeps us from moving forward in life towards our goals. Its the thoughts and beliefs of I’m not good enough, deserving enough, worthy enough etc. Once you start reprogramming these beliefs for more empowering ones, the sky’s the limit and everything starts to feel so much easier to accomplish.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When we are feeling overwhelmed, it’s because we are thinking too big picture and simply stay in the overwhelm by saying “I’m too overwhelmed.” When I feel like this, I start to chunk down and get into the specifics and ask myself… what specifically am I overwhelmed about?” and start listing out all of the things. I brain dump and get it all out of my head and big picture thinking down into the specifics. Once I start doing this, I realize that it’s really not that much for me to feel overwhelmed, it just does because I haven’t gotten clear on all of the things. Brain dumping is so incredibly helpful! Then from here I make a prioritization list of what is priority to get done.
