I am Julie Jones, Vice President of Ultra Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman, specializing in the Fort Lauderdale market’s most exclusive waterfront and beachfront properties. With over two decades in real estate, my journey began in the UK where I initially forged a career in car sales. My experience in the automotive industry, particularly in marketing and client relations, laid a solid foundation for my transition into luxury real estate.

What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to represent some of Broward’s most luxurious residences and to guide my clients through complex transactions with professionalism and integrity. Drawing on my experience in marketing, I bring innovative strategies to showcase properties and ensure my clients achieve their real estate goals efficiently and effectively.

Beyond transactions, I am deeply committed to community involvement and philanthropy, supporting organizations like The Royal Dames of Cancer Research, Seafarers’ House, and Tomorrow’s Rainbow. Giving back is integral to my values and underscores my dedication to making a positive impact beyond real estate.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my journey in transitioning from car sales to becoming a Vice President of Ultra Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman, I believe three qualities have been particularly impactful:

1. Marketing Expertise: My background in marketing provided me with a keen understanding of how to effectively promote properties and communicate their unique value propositions to potential buyers. Developing strong marketing skills allowed me to differentiate myself in the competitive real estate market and showcase properties in compelling ways.

Advice: For those starting out, I recommend investing time in learning modern marketing techniques, including digital marketing and social media strategies.
