We were lucky to catch up with Julie Walker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Julie with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic was strangely born from suffering, and the compassion that unexpectedly sprouted from that. As a child I often witnessed children at school enduring many hardships, such as being harshly punished when they didn’t understand how to perform in the classroom. Though I sure wasn’t qualified to be the help they really needed, I couldn’t watch them be mistreated, so after I did my work, I found myself staying after class to share what I understood with a handful of kids . Suddenly the teachers expected me to assist kids who needed extra support- daily. It really allowed me to experience the energy that comes when you work for no reward.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I was born with extreme Photosensitivity and Synesthesia, mostly seeing light that reflects and emanates off of living matter, rather than seeing the people, animals or plants themselves. If I hear someones voice ( a molecular structure) my brain reconfigures that visually. Later I studied kinesiology, and after class, the doctors would ask me to “look” at their mystery patients and ask what I observed, and that’s when my job was born.
I absolutely love my work! I. have been working internationally for almost 35 years, but it never gets old. I never know what I will notice about someone, so in a way, each day is as if i have never worked before. it’s exciting to have the privilege to really have a look at someone in their TOTALITY- see the source of their challenges and be of assistance, but also observe their incredible uniquenesses. People- ALL people are extraordinary, and I get to witness that every day.
Some years back I wrote a little series of books called the Oneness Model series, so people could see themselves and others, without “us” and “them” thinking. I love when people get to see themselves -then they no longer will need an appointment with me. Then I know I have done my job!
I recently wrote a new book called, Unlock Your Purpose. Reconnecting With Who You’re Meant to Be. It’s on Audible and should be out and available in May!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three areas of knowledge that have impacted my work -profoundly, is the growing awareness that after my studies, additional learning must always be pursued in the quest of uncovering new aspects of healing: skills, knowledge, and techniques of course, but also the not knowing, to open myself up to truth, to patiently be willing to sit and observe what each persons source of illness, and therefor healing comes from, And that means I need to remain open and never be satisfied with the illusion that one day I will finally “arrive” and be complete in my skills.
The second area is to always work my own self stuff, my undeveloped parts, my shadow, so that I can stay hollow, and remain open so that I can see people clearer and be of some service to whatever brought them to me. I am in awe of how vast we each are, so I know you can never fully witness anyone. That said, I know it is the very thing that leads to healing.
Lastly, though it is commonly talked about -it is not equally practiced; we all need some kind of daily spiritual practice if we are going to address the maladies of our bodies and minds. I have had the rare privilege of always working with a diverse and international clientele. This has allowed me to observe how much we all have in common! And there is a tremendous breadth of capacity -when we are connected, even in the simplest way -to the Creator- of the planets, the stars…our planet, and us included . I heavily depend on my daily prayer and meditation practice to sharpen up my own internal “GPS”. With so many people dealing with multiple stressors, modern medicine is unable. to meet the growing complexities of peoples health issues, so people need to participate in their healing needs by connecting to their Source, which inevitably opens up new possibilities towards wholeness, vitality and every kind of health.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is anyone who wants to do what I call ” the work” -to see how life has effected them AND their bodies, as well as have an interest in really inhabiting their bodies as they get to better identify their beautiful design, in all its’ quirks and splendors.
