Meet julien renaut

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Julien Renaut. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Julien below.

Hi Julien, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic stems from my resilience and determination to achieve success. My parents taught me to be accountable and work is where I put most of my energy because it fulfills me as a person. I have learned that you can’t be successful if your behavior is not aligned with your goals. So I am committed to being accountable to my goals and have the discipline it takes to make choices that only move towards those goals, without wavering.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the Founder and CEO of La Belle®. I oversee the overall development, growth, and operation of the company. The most exciting thing I do is fueling the process of the growth, whether it’s through the business or the development of my team. I enjoy building things from the ground up, developing professionals and casting vision that most people cannot see. I love the leadership and the emotion we are able to give our guests through a culinary experience and our goal is to become the largest artisanal bakery in the US.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Authenticity- Listen to your gut and don’t let anyone distract you.
Open mindedness- Be open to other perspectives/processes. You don’t always have to be “right.”
Accountability- You can only blame yourself for where you are. It is you that drives your goals and achievements.

You have to do what you do for yourself and not for others. Other people should not impact what you do with your life or the legacy you leave behind. You have to know what is important for YOU in your life to dictate your journey. Everyone has their own path and yours should not change because of others.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

I am currently facing the challenge of building the right team of executives that is strong enough for the growth we anticipate to have. If I don’t have the right A players in every department of the business, that will likely make it collapse.
