Meet Justice Maxwell

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justice Maxwell . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Justice , so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
I started to just say yes to opportunities presented to me by fellow peers. The best thing you could do for yourself I’d step out of your comfort zone and learn to work with others who are different than you. You would be surprised what you learn in that type of environment.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a male model, stylist and creative from Cleveland, Ohio. I mainly do print and runway work in and out of the city. Some
Places include Columbus, Texas and New York. I developed a passion for art and modeling at a young age and I decided to stay with it. By doing this my skills for the craft increased as well as my love and appreciation for them.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence, patience, and always be willing to learn something new. Being a model, it helps you to grow your confidence, but at the same time you have to get used to being rejected by brands or agencies that may not be interested in your look. It’s not always a bad thing. And you learn to appreciate the people that accept you and are willing to work with you. Things don’t happen overnight and you have to give yourself time to grow.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Sometimes, when I feel overwhelmed, I usually end up talking to a good friend and or going to work out. Both are good stress relievers, and it usually helps to have a consistent and solid person in your corner whenever you may be going through a tough time. I didn’t get to where I am today all alone. I have help from some pretty amazing people.
