Meet Justin Baker

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Baker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Justin, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I don’t feel like I “found” my purpose rather, it feels like my purpose found me, emerging through the unfolding of my life, shaped by experiences, traumas, heartbreaks, disappointments, and hardships. It wasn’t something I sought out but something that revealed itself in the quiet moments when life seemed most fragile and uncertain.

My purpose arose from a deep, unshakable knowing within me that whispered, despite everything life has walked you through, there is a way forward—a way of beauty, of truth, and of profound knowing that life is both precious and worth it. It taught me that we are here to grow through our challenges, not be defined by them, and that even the most painful moments can be the inspiration that breaks us open to deeper wisdom, connection, and magic.

At its core, my purpose is about finding and honoring the beauty in the depths—the raw and tender places life continues to invite me into again and again. It is also about supporting others, especially women, to discover that same depth within themselves. I help others reconnect with their inherent wisdom, guiding them to trust their inner resiliency and transform life’s challenges into stepping stones toward greater authenticity and joy.

I believe deeply in the power of feeling. To allow ourselves to feel fully—especially in a world that often encourages distraction and numbness—is a radical act of aliveness. The more we lean into our capacity to feel, the more vibrantly alive we become. This is a cornerstone of my work and my purpose: helping others find the courage to embrace their emotions, trust their intuition, knowing and remembering that everything they need is already within them.

Ultimately, my journey has been about saying yes to life, in all its messiness and magic, and helping others do the same.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Going inward is where it all began for me.

Years ago, I found myself stuck in an endless pattern of knowing what was contributing to my sadness but not knowing how to shift it. I knew there had to be more to healing than what I was learning through the lens of Western Psychology and traditional talk therapy. I felt as though my initial education in Psychology was a starting point but it wasn’t taking me and my own understanding of self, to the depths places in me desired most.

So I did what any woman would do, I took time away to love messily, and deeply and soon found myself wandering my way to what would be my rock bottom. My father shared with me he had heart condition one day (he’s fine although I didn’t know that then) and the very next day my partner at the time went to prison (and was facing many years away), this place of darkness and distress later developed into my greatest catalyst for growth and self exploration, simply because I had lost my light and knew I had to go in search of it.

My rock bottom lead me to study Eastern Philosophy, and take my first solo venture across the globe, shout out Thailand, to sit with myself in a whole new way, try seven days of silence when your heart is breaking, this experience forever changed my trajectory.

I studied in silent meditation retreats, learned to move energy, witnessed my inner world & inner child(man was she sad) and started to change my internal landscape. I crafted a new relationship to my body through yoga, which had been previously structured by the belief “my body couldn’t bend” because I broke my back in a tragic car accident in high school .Through this all I started to access inner realities of love and understanding as well as expansion, this place within me was a space I didn’t know I had longed for.

In 2018, I started studying Holistic Counseling Psychology earning my Masters at John F Kennedy University, this was where I learned I was a highly sensitive person (HSP) teenage me got a good laugh out of that. Next I got certified as a yoga teacher , after being amazed by my bodies resiliency, and later became a Breathwork Facilitator, because holy shit just try it! I am now a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of California (CA LMFT #135106), and am honored to be in ongoing studies with Transformative Energy Work, Voice & Womb Alchemy, Buddhism and Herbalism .

I am a life long learner and continue to study various healing modalities to better understand myself and my limitless potential and this existence . My intention is to better serve you, and your truest potential in the seen and unseen realms. I firmly believe I cannot take you farther than I have been myself, which is why my life is dedicated to going to my deepest depths. in as many dimensions as possible

I began Many Roads to Healing, because I believe that healing isn’t linear and often we need a number of ways and approaches to target the mind, body, spirit and soul, I know I sure did!! And I know sometimes we need someone by our side who isn’t afraid to traverse into the darkness with us. I hope I can offer even half of what my guides and teachers have been able to offer me.

I work with individual needs to help guide you toward your inner knowing and self-healing abilities so you can fine tune and trust your innate wisdom, igniting your inner wild and magic.

I offer 1;1 sessions in energy work and breathwork, host regular local events in Tucson, AZ and facilitate international women’s retreats, next retreat date TBA soon!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey are radical self-accountability, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Self-Accountability.:
This has been the foundation for everything. Learning to tune into my emotions, thoughts, patterns, behaviors, triggers and physical sensations has helped me understand myself on a deep level and has guided my decisions with clarity and alignment. Self-awareness isn’t about perfection, but to me it is about radical honesty with our selves. We must be willing to take accountability in a profound way. It is about the ability to be honest with yourself and staying curious about what’s happening within and being willing to stop looking at everyone else. My advice to anyone starting their journey is to begin building this relationship with yourself, do it until you truly like being in your own company and have an ability to not just be aware of who and how you show up but willing to hold yourself accountable to embody more of the person you want to be in the world. No more “this is just how I am” as a way to not be accountable to our actions that aren’t in alignment with our value. Part of self-awareness and accountability is getting clear on your biggest values and then being unwilling to not live deep in alignment with those values. The more you know yourself, the more empowered you’ll be.

Resilience:
Life is going to challenge you, and that’s inevitable. For me, resilience came from learning to sit with discomfort and trust that I could navigate whatever came my way. It’s about finding strength, and at times that strength will come from our softness and vulnerability. To build resilience, I encourage folks to embrace the messy parts of being human welcome the human messy as invitations to grow, and to see if it possible to find the lesson or gift—if we’re willing to see it. Sometimes it will take years before you see it, but holding onto the faith that this isn’t all for nothing. And more often than often life is often inviting into how to be more of ourselves.

Lifelong Learning:
One of the most empowering decisions I made was to commit to being a student of life. Whether through formal education, mentorship, or self-study, I’ve stayed curious about how we grow, heal, and thrive. My studies in psychology, consciousness, energy work, and embodiment practices have been transformative, but it’s the act of staying open and curious that has truly shaped me. For anyone starting their path, I’d say don’t rush the process. Be open to learning not only from books and teachers but also from your own experiences, from nature, from the way the waves hit the shore or the wind moves through the trees.Be willing to listen to stillness, to your hearts beating, to the seasons. There are invitations to learn at each and every moment. The answers you’re seeking are often already within you—they just need time and space to surface.

Above all, my advice is to trust yourself. Growth takes time, and your journey will be uniquely yours. Be patient, stay present, and don’t be afraid to explore the edges of your comfort zone, and then move past them. We don’t grow in comfort we often grow at the edges of our fears. There’s so much wisdom to be gained in the process.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a woman who feels a deep yearning to reconnect with herself—someone who knows there’s more to life than the patterns she’s currently stuck in and is ready to do the inner work to create real, meaningful change. She’s likely someone who feels disconnected from her body or her feminine energy, or perhaps she struggles to trust her emotions and intuition.

This woman is curious, open-hearted, and willing to explore the depths of her own experience. She may be navigating a period of transition, grappling with self-doubt, or trying to make sense of past traumas or challenges. What makes her ideal isn’t that she has it all figured out, but that she’s willing to show up as she is—messy, vulnerable, and ready to grow.

She’s drawn to practices that go beyond surface-level healing and wants to cultivate a deep relationship with herself through embodiment, energy work, and breathwork. She’s someone who values holistic approaches, is eager to embrace her emotions, and seeks a sense of alignment with her true self.

Ultimately, the ideal client for me is someone who is ready to claim her power, reconnect with her magic, and step into her life with courage, resilience, and authenticity. My work is most impactful for women who are ready to invest in themselves and trust the process, even when it’s challenging, because they know the journey back to themselves is worth it and so much magic awaits her!
