Meet Justin Nye

We recently connected with Justin Nye and have shared our conversation below.

Justin , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

Generosity, to me, means using whatever gifts you’ve been given — your time, your talents, your resources — to make someone else’s life a little better. In our clinic, that looks like going the extra mile for patients, investing in our team’s growth, and giving back to the community that’s supported us for so many years.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m Dr. Justin Nye, a chiropractor and the owner of Woodbury Spine Wellness Center. My journey into chiropractic care is deeply personal. Growing up in Central South Dakota, I faced my own health challenges—from a painful bone condition in childhood to multiple knee injuries as a college football player. What changed everything for me was the care I received from my grandfather, who practiced as a chiropractor for 41 years. He helped me regain a pain-free life when medical doctors said there was nothing that could be done. That experience—and the example he set through his faith, compassion, and service—lit a fire in me to dedicate my life to helping others through chiropractic care.

At Woodbury Spine Wellness Center, we focus on helping people restore their health from the inside out by ensuring their nervous system is functioning at its best. What excites me most is seeing people rediscover what “well” feels like—watching someone go from living with pain or fatigue to living with energy, freedom, and purpose. That transformation never gets old.

Our brand is built on faith, integrity, and a commitment to helping families live longer, healthier lives. My wife, Christy, is a certified health coach, and together with our incredible team, we offer a comprehensive approach to wellness that includes chiropractic, nutrition, massage, mobility, and fitness programs.

We’re currently celebrating 15 years of serving our community in Woodbury, which is both humbling and energizing. Every day, I’m reminded of the promise I made years ago—to help as many people as possible experience the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care, just as my grandfather helped me.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been faith, perseverance, and genuine care for people.

Faith has always been my foundation. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about hard work—it’s about trusting God’s timing and purpose, even when the path doesn’t make sense in the moment. When my grandfather passed away right before my graduation, that loss tested me deeply. But it also reminded me that this work is bigger than me. My advice for anyone early in their journey is to stay rooted in your values and your “why.” When you know who you’re working for and why you’re doing it, the challenges become part of your growth, not roadblocks.

Perseverance is another key. Building something meaningful—whether it’s a business, a career, or a legacy—takes time. There were plenty of moments early on when the easy thing would have been to quit or settle. But growth happens when you stay consistent, humble, and willing to learn.

Finally, genuine care for people is what makes the difference. In chiropractic—and really in any profession—people can tell when you truly care. Take time to listen, to connect, and to serve. That’s what turns a job into a calling.

If you focus on faith, perseverance, and service, you’ll not only succeed—you’ll make an impact that lasts far beyond your career.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

Without question, my grandfather has been the most influential person in shaping who I am today. Even though he passed away before I graduated from chiropractic school, his example continues to guide me every single day. He practiced chiropractic for over four decades in a small South Dakota town and built his reputation on integrity, faith, and compassion. He didn’t just treat patients—he served them. Watching the way people still talk about him and the difference he made in their lives reminds me what this profession is truly about.

Beyond my grandfather, I’ve been blessed with an incredible support system—my wife, Christy, who shares the same mission through her work as a health coach, and our amazing team at Woodbury Spine Wellness Center. Their dedication, positivity, and heart for people continually challenge me to grow as a leader and as a man of faith.

Ultimately, I believe every skill I’ve developed and every challenge I’ve overcome has been guided by God’s hand. My faith has carried me through the moments of doubt, the long hours, and the learning curves. I truly believe that when you stay faithful to your calling and surround yourself with the right people, God equips you with everything you need to fulfill your purpose.
