We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Justin Waldman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Justin below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Justin with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from my father. From an early age he instilled values and a strong moral compass to navigate this diverse world of endless possibilities. Taught me to always work smarter not harder. If you mess up dont be afraid to start over and learn from your mistakes. God gave you 2 ears and 1 mouth so you should always listen more than you speak. These values helped me become the man I am and im forever grateful for the father he is, was, and will always be!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a musician, I go by The Real Chaos. Started as a hobby grabbing influences from the likes of bands/groups: Insane Clown Posse, Ice Cube, Rage against the machine, Ghetto Boys, and Cypress Hill. My passion took over and I grew an audience because they could relate to my songs. Id vent about life and the things I was going through in my personal life and would stay grounded and positive pushing thru anything with a positive message. I am currently working on my 4th professional studio album “VerZatalien” The title of the album meaning Verzatile Alien because i truely feel im from another world brought here to teach and help people heal themselves thru the power of my music. I plan to tour off this album and really focus on my depiction of the music through music videos, and try my hand at acting in film, or even try my hand at comedy to help reach the youth anyway i can. I wanna be the spark that changes the world.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
3 Qualities
-Hard Work
-Sticking to your most Authentic and original self.
-Being able to adapt to any enviorment, or any situation while still staying true to your values, morals, and character.
Any advice I can give is listen and observe, trust your intuition, and never be scared to try new things even if you fail because failure is the ultimate teacher. Never give up, never take yourself to serious, and make sure you try to have fun every chance you get because once your not having fun thats when it becomes a job and no longer a passion.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did was believe in my dreams. They made sure I was staying in school, keeping a steady real job, while always supporting any dream I had. They allowed me to record and build a home studio in my childhood bedroom. Let me record at all hours and even allowed me to record peers with similar goals and dreams. Never discouraged me, always supported me, and guided me thru the good times and the hard times.
