Meet Jyoti Lohman

We recently connected with Jyoti Lohman and have shared our conversation below.

Jyoti , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

For me, The Beauty Way isn’t just a brand—it’s a path I chose to walk when I decided to reconnect with who I am and what truly matters. After years in fashion and a beautiful chapter of being a full-time mom, I felt something stirring inside me: a desire to create something meaningful, something that honored where I came from and could help others feel more connected to themselves too.

Growing up, my mom was the one who taught me the real meaning of self-care. It wasn’t about products or pampering—it was about presence. She showed me that beauty begins within. She believed in nourishing her body with clean, wholesome ingredients, but also the soul—with stillness, with nature, with ritual. Her quiet strength and deep reverence for wellness shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand until I became a mother myself.

When life finally gave me the space to reflect, I kept coming back to those lessons—how powerful it feels to care for yourself in a gentle, intentional way. I realized I wanted to share that. I wanted to create something that celebrated clean, effective ingredients, but also the experience of self-care: the pause, the grounding, the return to center.

That’s how The Beauty Way was born. Rooted in the philosophy of Hózhó—a Navajo concept of harmony, beauty, and balance—this brand is my way of offering others what my mother gave me: a reminder that true beauty is a way of being. It’s in the way we speak to ourselves, the way we care for our bodies, and the rituals we choose to return to, again and again.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My intention with the beauty way is to bring together premium, effective ingredients with daily mantras to inspire a purposeful pause and self love. Elevating your daily routine into soul-nourishing rituals.

What fills me the most with gratitude s watching people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel truly cared for—because that’s what this is really about. It’s not just skincare; it’s a sensory experience designed to support harmony in body, mind, and soul while making your skin glow!.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were creativity, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose. Creativity helped me dream beyond the ordinary and bring a vision to life. Resilience carried me through the unknowns, setbacks, and learning curves that come with building something from the ground up. And having a strong sense of purpose—rooted in my passion for self-care and wellness—kept me anchored when things got hard. For anyone just starting out, my best advice is simple: just start. Don’t wait for perfection or the “right time.” Follow what lights you up, stay curious, and trust that your passion will guide you. Everything else—skills, clarity, confidence—will come as you keep moving forward.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My parents were the foundation of my confidence and courage. They always gave me grace to grow at my own pace, and they believed in me even before I fully believed in myself. My mom taught me the importance of nurturing myself and others with love and intention, while my dad constantly encouraged me to follow my heart and take risks. They never tried to steer me in any direction other than the one that felt true to me. Because of them, I learned to trust my intuition, honor my creative spirit, and step boldly into the unknown with faith that something beautiful would unfold.
