Hi Kadean, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

“My Family’s Resilience Legacy”

Growing up, I witnessed my family face numerous challenges, from financial struggles to broken homes. Yet, they consistently demonstrated remarkable resilience. My parents, who though they separated when I was 14 years old, instilled in me the value of adaptability and determination.

My parents, despite facing economic hardships, worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Their unwavering optimism and resourcefulness inspired me to approach challenges with confidence.

My siblings and I learned to support each other, sharing responsibilities and encouraging one another through thick and thin. Our family’s collective resilience became a powerful foundation for my own.

Key resilience traits I inherited from my family include:

1. Resourcefulness
2. Determination
3. Optimism
4. Adaptability
5. Supportiveness

These traits have helped me navigate life’s obstacles, from personal setbacks to professional challenges.

“Lessons Learned”

1. Resilience is contagious: Surround yourself with people who embody it.
2. Challenges foster growth: Embrace difficulties as opportunities.
3. Family is strength: Cherish and support one another.

By acknowledging and embracing my family’s resilience legacy, I’ve come to realize that:

“I am resilient because of my family’s unyielding spirit.”

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My Advice to others early in their journey to develop qualities that will display your strength and don’t dwell on your weakness but know you need to figure out how you can turn your weakness into strength, learn to set goals and practice consistently in achieving them. Do research and read a lot on industry practice and find yourselves positive mentors. Always be 1. Stay curious and open-minded while you embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and always build a supportive network.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

There was 3 other questions I wanted to answer but I believe this is the most important right now.

God had been very faithful along my journey over the past 4 years having gone through a devasted marital journey. My two major supporters who have been there by my side since then is Miss Nasheka Harrison and Mrs. Crystal Saddler. These Ladies have been there giving me support in the best way possible.

Before closing down for three months, my business struggled to consistently attract long term customers. Despite my best efforts, sales were inconsistent, and sustainability was a concern. After reopening on November 1, 2024, I’m determined to overcome these challenges.

Specifically, I’m struggling with:

– Attracting new sales
– Creating effective marketing strategies
– Competing with established businesses

I’d greatly appreciate guidance on:

– Customer acquisition and retention strategies
– Marketing techniques
– Rebuilding my business after closure

I do have loyal customers who comes to me for all occasions but that is not enough to cover my expenses.
