Meet Kaden Tranum

We recently connected with Kaden Tranum and have shared our conversation below.

Kaden, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Confidence doesn’t show up over night. it grows within us over time, through trial and error, small wins, and learning from setbacks is how we build our confidence.

Personally, I am an extroverted person and very outgoing, but that doesn’t mean I have all the confidence in the world. When I had the ideas of starting Tranum Graphics, there was definitely some self-doubt and a piece of me that thought that this may not work.

Starting a creative business is exciting but also full of unknowns. The unknowns that I have come across have helped me to build my confidence within myself and my business. What helped the most was doing the work by really showing up for clients, delivering on what I promised, and watching clients light up when they saw their vision come to life. There is nothing better for me as a business owner than to help these around me with the talents that God has given me.

When I had a solid system in my business and I got rid of the “training wheels”, that’s where the self-esteem started to build. It wasn’t just about being proud of my work, it was realizing that the work was meaningful for a different purpose, it was helping someone else.

Helping someone launch their brand, tell their story, or take their business to the next level reminds me why I started my business in the first place. Piece by piece, the confidence came to me, not from thinking I had all the answers, but from knowing I had the heart, the skills, and the drive to figure things out and keep getting better at what I do so I can continue to help others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Kaden Tranum, and I am the founder & CEO of Tranum Graphics, a Multimedia Company that blends creativity and strategy to help people and their businesses bring the ideas they have To life. What started as a passion for design and storytelling has grown into something much bigger. A brand that helps others express themselves visually and digitally in ways that truly connect.

I specialize in Graphic Design, Web Development & Design, Digital Media, Photography, and Videography.

What makes Tranum Graphics special is that I don’t just create content, I create Meaningful & Impactful content. Every project is personal. Whether it’s a startup trying to stand out, a nonprofit telling a powerful story, or a brand refreshing its identity, I treat it with the same care and intention every time. I believe that design should not only look great, it should move and inspire people.

What excites me most is the chance to keep evolving in the world of creatives. I am currently working on expanding my mascot branding system, which adds a playful and memorable element to my companies identity. I am also exploring new collaborations and looking to launch interactive media offerings later this year that bring my clients’ stories to life in even more engaging ways.

More than anything, I want people to know that Tranum Graphics is here to help them be seen, heard, and remembered.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three most impactful things in my journey have been resilience, creative problem solving, and a willingness to keep learning.

Resilience has been everything. Running a creative business means things won’t always go as planned, clients change direction, projects fall through, and even tech fails sometimes. It’s easy to get discouraged. But resilience is what keeps me showing up, pushing forward, and finding the next opportunity. For anyone starting out in the business world, my advice is: don’t take setbacks personally. Learn from them and keep moving forward.

Creative Problem Solving is the core of what I do at Tranum Graphics. Whether it’s designing a logo, building a website, or producing a video, every client project can be challenging and unique. The ability to listen deeply, think critically, and come up with a solution that works visually and strategically is what sets you apart from your competitors. To build this, surround yourself with different kinds of thinkers and creators. Collaborate often and stay open to suggestions and constructive criticism.

Lastly, The willingness to keep learning. Whether that’s learning new tools, studying other creatives, or listening to client feedback. These factors make all the difference. The creative industry moves fast. Staying up to date and following trends will help you grow, stay relevant, and stay inspired.

For anyone early in their journey: trust the process. Growth comes from the work you put in, the mistakes that you learn from, and the lessons you apply. Keep showing up with a good heart and good intention, and you’ll get where you are meant to be.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

One book that I have truly enjoyed and has had a major impact on me, is “Leaders Eat Last” by Simon Sinek. This book really shifted the way I think about leadership. Not just in terms of managing a team, but in how I show up for my clients every day.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was the idea that great leaders create an environment of safety and trust, where people feel supported enough to take bold risks and be themselves. That mindset has been a big impact on how I’ve tried to build Tranum Graphics. Starting with the way I collaborate with clients to how I approach creative partnerships with others.

Another piece that stuck with me is that leadership isn’t about power or position, it’s about quality service and improvement. Real leadership is about putting others first, protecting your people, and making sure everyone feels like they matter. That really resonated with me not just on a professional level but on a personal level as well.

The book reminded me that culture isn’t just something you talk about, it’s something you build with those around you. When people feel safe, valued, and connected to something bigger than themselves, they will create incredible things.
