We were lucky to catch up with Kaitlyn Davis-Linton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kaitlyn, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Building self-esteem and confidence is something that truly starts within yourself. Growing up, I had a difficult time, and I know that’s something many people can relate to. It’s not easy to work on your inner self. When you look around at celebrities, family members, associates, friends, or even strangers, it’s natural to compare yourself to others. But I had to take a step back and really focus on myself. I realized that everyone is their own unique version of themselves, and no one can truly be compared to you. There’s only one copy of you, and it’s up to you to shape and mold that into whatever you want.
Once I embraced that mindset, I felt like I could finally spread my wings. I started stepping away from the fear of judgment and stopped worrying about whether I was doing “well enough.” Instead, I focused on doing what truly brought me joy. That shift was incredibly freeing. When you allow yourself to be authentically you, people naturally gravitate toward your energy. They want to connect with and surround themselves with that kind of authenticity.
Over time, I’ve learned that when I show up as my best self, doing what I love and staying genuine with the people in my life, everything else tends to fall into place. The only direction I can go from there is up. It’s been a beautiful lesson that I carry with me every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a model and mentor, and what I love most about what I do is the opportunity to inspire and connect with people. Modeling allows me to express creativity, bring stories to life, and collaborate with incredible artists across different industries. It’s such a dynamic field where every project feels like a new adventure, whether it’s a runway show, a photoshoot, or working with brands to create something meaningful. What makes this work so special to me is the ability to combine my passion for fashion with helping others. As a mentor, I love guiding aspiring models, creatives, and women in general by helping them find their confidence and navigate an industry that can feel intimidating at first. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone I’ve mentored grow, thrive, and reach their goals. As for what’s new, I’m excited to share what I’m working on. I’m excited to share more of my personal life through some upcoming videos I’ve been working on. These will give people a behind-the-scenes look at my life, from cooking and baking to traveling with me on my adventures, and even some funny skits along the way. This project is really close to my heart, and I can’t wait for people to see a different side of me. I hope it resonates and brings a little joy, inspiration, and connection to those who watch. Recently, I’ve been honored to take on an exciting new chapter in my career. I’ve been accepted as a content creator and model for Playboy. This opportunity is such a thrilling milestone for me, as it allows me to showcase my artistry on a global platform that celebrates individuality, empowerment, and creativity. Being part of this legacy is not only a dream come true but also a chance to connect with an audience that appreciates authenticity and bold self-expression. For me, my work isn’t just about fashion; it’s about empowering others, celebrating individuality, and showing people that they can create their own path in this world. That’s the essence of my brand, and it’s what drives everything I do.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, curiosity, and adaptability. Each of these has shaped the way I approach both modeling and mentoring, helping me navigate challenges and inspire others along the way. In the fashion world, rejection and criticism are part of the process. Whether it’s tough auditions, demanding schedules, or meeting ever-changing industry standards, resilience has been essential. It’s what keeps you moving forward after setbacks, allowing you to grow stronger and more determined. As a mentor, this quality becomes even more important when guiding others through their own struggles and teaching them to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Curiosity has also been a cornerstone of my success. Staying curious has allowed me to remain innovative and versatile, always open to exploring new possibilities. Whether it’s diving into emerging trends, experimenting with different styles, or learning from other cultures, curiosity keeps things fresh and exciting. It’s also a valuable tool as a mentor, as it helps me stay informed and provide meaningful guidance to those I work with.
Finally, adaptability is key in an industry as dynamic as fashion. Trends shift, opportunities arise unexpectedly, and even your personal identity as a model evolves over time. Being adaptable means embracing change, pivoting when needed, and staying relevant in a highly competitive environment. As a mentor, I’ve seen how encouraging adaptability in others helps them build the confidence to navigate the unpredictability of the industry. Together, resilience, curiosity, and adaptability form the foundation of success in both modeling and mentoring. They empower you to overcome challenges, express creativity, and thrive in an ever-changing world. Most importantly, these qualities allow you to inspire and guide others, helping them chart their own paths with confidence and determination.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! I’m always open to partnering and collaborating with like-minded individuals or organizations who share a passion for creativity, growth, and making a positive impact. Whether it’s working on innovative fashion projects, mentorship programs, or community-driven initiatives, I’m excited to connect with people who bring fresh ideas, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence. I’m particularly interested in collaborating with designers, photographers, stylists, and brands that are pushing boundaries and redefining what fashion can be. I also love working with organizations or individuals who are dedicated to empowering aspiring models and creatives to achieve their dreams. And honestly, I’m open to connecting with anyone who has a vision for meaningful projects that combine fashion, art, and storytelling in unique ways.
