Kalie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Many years ago I started soap making. I started with melt and pour soap and then transitioned to cold process soap. I love this method the best because I get to choose which clean and natural ingredients I put into my soaps. I then mastered my craft of soap making. With each batch I made, I gained a deeper understanding of the ingredients, the process and the art of blending both science and creativity. As a Christian entrepreneur, I developed my confidence the moment I stepped out on faith and put myself out there.
2 Corinthians 5:7 says “Walk by Faith, not by sight.” God laid this special gift on my heart and I give him all the glory with my soap making! That’s when I launched Kingdom Soaps!
Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Building my self-esteem came from surrounding myself in a supportive community. Everyone around me provided positive feedback, constructive criticism and encouragement which helped me to grow. I learned to embrace my mistakes as a learning opportunity. My go to saying is “never a failure, always a lesson.” Developing self-esteem is having FAITH in yourself!!

As a soap maker, I’m thrilled to see my business growing so rapidly. My journey started with a deep passion for natural ingredients and their benefits for the skin. Over the years, I’ve sharpened my craft but the heart of my business remains rooted in creating handcrafted, high-quality, natural soaps that are both luxurious and great for the skin.
What makes my natural soaps special is that I focus heavily on using only the finest natural ingredients—organic oils, botanicals, and essential oils—free from harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances. I personally source these ingredients from ethical suppliers, ensuring that every bar I create is as pure and gentle as possible. My customers appreciate that they can trust my products to be both effective and skin-friendly, whether they’re looking for something hydrating, soothing, or even exfoliating.
The most exciting part of this journey has been watching my brand grow so fast, especially because so many customers return, having seen the positive effects my soaps have on their skin. There’s something really special about hearing stories of how my products have helped people with sensitive skin and even dryness. It makes my work incredibly rewarding.
What I also love is the creativity involved in the soap making process. From experimenting with new scents and textures to designing visually striking bars, there’s always an opportunity for innovation. I take pride in not only making soaps that perform beautifully but that are also visually appealing, with natural colors, clays and really cool patterns.
As Kingdom Soaps continues to grow, I’m focused on expanding our product line while maintaining the high standards of quality that my customers expect. I’m also very passionate about sustainability and continue to seek ways to make my production process more eco-friendly, from ingredients to packaging.
Im thrilled that our product line in the near future will include not just new soap varieties, but also a laundry soap collection, body scrubs, bath bombs, and more. The laundry soap will feature all-natural, skin-friendly ingredients that clean clothes gently and effectively, without the harsh chemicals found in most commercial detergents. The body scrubs and bath bombs will offer a luxurious, spa-like experience at home, with nourishing oils and soothing scents that enhance relaxation. I’m truly passionate about providing sustainable, high-quality products for every part of your self-care routine, and I’m excited to share these new additions with my loving customers—and anyone new who’s looking to elevate their daily wellness routines!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Understanding the science behind soap (saponification process, oils, and lye ratios) was absolutely critical. How to plug in your calculations was a bit tricky at first.
Advice: Invest a lot of time in learning the fundamentals through reading books and taking courses. Hands-on experimentation is crucial!
Accurate measurements and writing every single ingredient down is key in creating quality products.
Advice: Keep detailed records of recipes, the process, and the final results on each recipe paper. Even small adjustments can lead to significant improvements for the future.
The ability to experiment with all kinds of different textures, scents, colors and even my packaging allowed me to create unique products that resonated with customers and have brought back repeat customers over again.
Advice: Stay curious and open to trying new methods, oils, or designs. Attend workshops and keep exploring new things.

My ideal client is someone who values high-quality, handcrafted, and sustainably produced products.
Appreciation for Natural Ingredients. They prefer products made with natural, eco-friendly ingredients, free from harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances.
They are mindful of sustainability and seek products that align with their ethical values, including eco-friendly packaging.
They prioritize skin care and are looking for gentle, moisturizing, and nourishing options for their specific skin types.
They’re not just looking for a one-time purchase but are interested in building a relationship, offering feedback, and returning for future orders.
They understand that all natural soap comes with a higher price point due to the quality of ingredients, craftsmanship and the time put in. They’re willing to invest in taking care of their skin and having a healthy skincare routine.
These clients are ideal because they truly value the time, effort, and expertise that goes into each handcrafted batch. They help sustain the integrity and passion of small, local independent soap makers. Each of our batches are hand made, hand poured and hand cut with love and a prayer!
