Ka’Reena, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Through life’s trials and tribulations. Life has not been easy for me, I’ve endured a lot of private battles and situations that were literally sent to destroy me. Through trials and tribulations I stand in knowing that I may bend but I won’t and can’t break! Im built to last. God has given me the strength to overcome anything.

Kreating Memories LLC came into existence in 2021, stemming from my longstanding passion for event planning. Over time, I’ve become the go-to person among my friends and family for arranging hotel rooms, venues, and decorations. Transforming my hobby into a profitable venture felt like the natural next step. In our inaugural year, we were fortunate enough to coordinate a wedding in Puerto Rico. Presently, our focus extends to orchestrating diverse events like business launches, sobriety parties, birthdays, proposals, and more. Looking ahead, my aspiration for Kreating Memories involves securing an elegant yet affordable venue space, along with a warehouse stocked with larger event props. Given the scarcity of last-minute event resources in Kansas City, I aim to revolutionize this aspect.
Our most recent development is the addition of a new arm, “The Administrator & Co.,” tailored to cater to the administrative needs of small businesses and churches. We take immense pride in our ability to deliver effective and efficient solutions.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe it all begins with the right mindset – quite literally. Following that, it’s about possessing determination, and maintaining unwavering consistency.
I frequently emphasize to others that everything originates in the mind. Personally, I adopted a determined mindset, ensuring that any goal I set my sights on becomes an achievement, regardless of the time it may take. This perspective serves as motivation for anyone embarking on their journey. Changing your mindset is key, followed by determination, as my own unwavering drive illustrates. I was resolute in accomplishing whatever I set my mind to.
Being a business owner encompasses more than just a title; it entails dedicated effort and isn’t as effortless as it might appear on social media. There will be weeks with minimal earnings and others where substantial profits are made. Throughout, the crucial factor is maintaining consistent effort. Never relinquish your dream – regardless of the challenges..
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Without delving too deeply, I must acknowledge that my strength in overcoming challenges has been rooted in God. As mentioned before, He has bestowed upon me the resilience and grace to conquer any obstacle. Alongside my faith, my mother and my steadfast support system (both family and friends),have played an integral role. My upbringing was under the guidance of the remarkable late Bishop Aletha J. Cushinberry, whose business acumen and triumphs as a minority left a lasting impact. Though she has passed, her teachings continue to resonate and guide me.
