Meet Karen Rosa

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karen Rosa a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Karen , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

For me, finding my purpose came from growing up in a family of women who always cared for themselves, even with the simplest things we had. I remember watching my mother and sisters stand in front of the mirror, taking a little time to get ready and feel good about themselves, no matter how busy they were or how little we had. That ritual of self-care and self-respect is something I carried into my work in fashion.

My purpose is not about selling lingerie or a dress. It is about showing women that they can love themselves exactly as they are. I want to help them see their own beauty, to look in the mirror and feel at home in their own skin. It is found in the small moments: taking ten minutes for skincare, a deep breath in the shower, or a little gift to themselves that reminds them they deserve that care. In a world where women are constantly juggling so much, my purpose is to remind them of their strength and femininity, and that they are worthy of love every single day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the founder of Rosa Cabin, a luxury lingerie and fashion brand that blends sensuality, quality, and Brazilian heritage with a unique identity. Rosa Cabin was born from my passion for fashion and my belief that clothing can empower women to embrace their confidence and authenticity.

Beyond lingerie, I am expanding the brand into sophisticated pieces such as dresses and corsets, always with a focus on slow fashion, limited editions, and sustainable values. Every creation is crafted to inspire women to embrace their individuality, feel empowered, and experience the highest level of quality in every detail.

What excites me most at the moment is working on our upcoming collections, which bring a fresh identity inspired by Brazilian luxury, combining bold design, tropical essence, and refined sophistication. I am also focused on sharing this journey with women through experiences, events, and community building around Rosa Cabin.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I believe three qualities have been the most impactful in my journey:

Resilience – Building a brand and a career in fashion is full of challenges, especially starting in a new country. Resilience has allowed me to keep moving forward, even when things didn’t go as planned.
Creativity – Creativity is at the heart of everything I do, from designing collections to styling clients. It’s not only about artistic vision but also about finding solutions and thinking differently when obstacles appear.
Authenticity – Staying true to who I am and to the values behind Rosa Cabin has been essential. Authenticity is what connects my work to people and makes it meaningful.

For anyone who is early in their journey, my advice is to nurture these qualities day by day. Don’t be afraid of the challenges they will shape you. Keep your creativity alive, and above all, stay authentic, because your uniqueness is what will set you apart.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

Over the past 12 months my biggest area of growth has been learning to align creativity with strategy. As a fashion designer and stylist, I have always been deeply connected to the creative side, but this past year taught me how important it is to also build structure around my vision. I refined Rosa Cabin’s identity, moving toward a slow fashion approach with limited editions and a stronger emphasis on quality and sustainability.

Another area of growth has been confidence, allowing myself to fully own my role as both a creative and a founder. I have learned to trust my instincts, to value my voice, and to see that my work can truly empower women. This balance of artistry and leadership is what excites me most as I move forward.
