Meet Karhonda Bray

We recently connected with Karhonda Bray and have shared our conversation below.

KaRhonda , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

When I was 9 years old my mother remarried and unfortunately that union ended very quickly and not on the best of terms. My stepfather walked away emptied the bank accounts and even took the refrigerator. I witnessed my mother never blink. She didn’t complain or groan or even negative word in front of me. She ended up having around $300 to her name and from that she started a business selling clothes. That year she earned in addition to her income as Speech Pathologist $20,000+ going to salons and any place that would have her selling clothes out her trunk. What that meant is that everywhere she went I had to go and I learned to run a business, to work hard, provide, turn lemons into lemonade and never look back. I learned about a life without excuse or blame and I carried that with me and made a decision that I wanted to become an entrepreneur myself. I did just that and have launched several businesses along my journey of finding my fit.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

KaRhonda Bray wears many hats, but her unwavering commitment to faith, family, and purpose remains the common thread in all that she does. As the co-founder of Eden Global Entertainment, KaRhonda has built a platform that celebrates faith-based entertainment, bridging the gap between inspiring content and the resources needed to navigate life with faith as the anchor. Alongside her husband, Pastor Theo Bray, she serves as Co-Pastor of Truth Seekers International Fellowship and Co-Director of Truth Seekers International Ministries in Fort Worth, Texas, where they lead and serve their congregation with love and dedication.

Their five children—Freedom, Eden, Valor, Vision, and Dominion—are a testament to their shared values and faith, as their names speak to the strength and purpose they pray over their family daily. Beyond her role as a wife, mother, and ministry leader, KaRhonda also excels in the marketplace.

She is the Founder and Managing Director of Joariam LLC. Headquartered in Texas, Joariam LLC is a premier personal and business development agency dedicated to creating dynamic wealth solutions that drive economic growth across both public and private sectors with a unique emphasis on economic development in underserved and developing nations. KaRhonda’s vision is clear: to break the systems that bind and to empower individuals to live in the freedom found in God’s truth.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. The Importance and Value of Time – Time is tied to your integrity so being present where and when you say you will is a direct indication on your character. Also, the proper stewarding of your time and not wasting moments equates to better time management and being more effective in your day.

2. Relationships are key – I have learned and teach my team about the power of relationship. We are a relationship first company and not transactional because we know that if we build strong relationships we have a partner for life and that partnership at some point will yield fruit.

3. Hold to your Convictions – Foundations are key for life and in business and we have to stay to true to those core values and convictions regardless of the impulse and desire of others to force you out of place and position.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

One of the greatest obstacles we have faced in our business particularly because of our focus on the economic development of the developing nations is the liquidity of clients and their ability to access the level of funding they need to execute their projects.

We have the opportunity on a day to day basis to be introduced to some of the most brilliant minds with extraordinary ideas that can transform their communities and the world but the lack of money becomes a hindrance in development. Therefore, we are working to create a fund that bridges the gap and offers seed capital necessary to explore the larger funding offerings required to develop a dynamic economic ecosystem.

This year we also developed a program geared at not only businesses but individuals seeking the opportunity to grow and expand their financial portfolios because our goal is break cycles of poverty in the communities we serve. We have a bold vision to create 10,000 millionaires by 2030.The cycle stops here and it starts with proper education and access.
