Meet Karina Menali

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karina Menali a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Karina , so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

It’s a work in progress. There are moments where I realize I’ve made great strides, and there are humbling experiences time and time again. I embrace it all as part of the journey toward greater authenticity and wisdom, which I imagine and hope will be life-long.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My work is my passion and calling, and it’s an absolute pleasure and honor to be of service doing what I love. I practice integrative medicine and healing, which combines eastern and western modalities to address a wide variety of human needs in a comprehensive, client-centered and holistic approach. I love the intimacy of being in the room with someone who is navigating their life, holding space for their journey and providing support along the way. I enjoy teaching, running retreats, giving talks. It’s an incredible feeling – to be witness to profound insight, healing, unburdening…people just light up and radiate their true self, its richly rewarding to be part of.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Avoid specializing – embrace a holistic approach
2. Hold a space of compassion
3. Be exquisite in all you do

My advice would be to be yourself and practice what you love. No two creators/practitioners/humans are the same, and exactly who you are is what is needed in the world. Develop THAT.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Always. I love to cross-refer with other providers, learn about what people express in the world, and get to know interesting people. I’d love to connect with broad-minded and creative people who practice loving kindness and occupying a space of love during their lifetime.
