Meet Karolina Domaszewicz

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Karolina Domaszewicz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Karolina , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

Psychotherapy has been a transformative experience for me, one that opened my eyes to many aspects of my life that had previously gone unnoticed. Through regular sessions, I began to recognize subtle patterns and thought mechanisms that influenced my reactions and emotions. I gained awareness of the factors—both past and present—that have shaped my behavior. This understanding not only allowed me to consciously make changes in my everyday life, but it also enabled me to manage stress and emotions more effectively. As a result, my effectiveness at work and my relationships with others have improved significantly. Psychotherapy has become the cornerstone of my self-care, equipping me with the tools for deeper reflection and personal growth that positively impact every area of my life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As a manager of models and artists, photographer, and stylist, I combine artistic sensitivity with a scientific approach to the psychology of aesthetics in my work. My experience enables me not only to create unique visual narratives but also to understand how deeply aesthetics influence human perception and emotions. By working with talented models and artists, I craft a space where authenticity and individuality become key values.

Currently, I am intensively working on a photo exhibition that will be unveiled in March. This collection is not merely a compilation of images—it is a reflection on the perception of beauty and a contemplation of transience, as well as our relentless efforts to stop the flow of time. My approach, rooted in an interdisciplinary blend of art and psychology, allows me to detect subtle nuances of emotion, making my work not only aesthetically appealing but also profoundly thoughtful.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I believe that the three key traits that have had the greatest impact on my journey are:
1. Authenticity and the Courage to Be Yourself: This quality has allowed me to build lasting relationships and create projects that truly reflect my personality and values. Authenticity also enables me to be open to criticism and pursue continuous growth.
2. Interdisciplinary Thinking: By combining knowledge from fields such as photography, styling, and the psychology of aesthetics, I’ve gained a unique perspective that has empowered me to create coherent and deeply thoughtful visual narratives. This ability to merge art with science enriches my work.
3. An Ongoing Desire to Learn and Adapt: Regardless of my successes, I have always sought ways to expand my knowledge and develop my skills. This approach has enabled me to respond effectively to changing trends and market challenges, teaching me that every failure is a valuable lesson.

For those who are at the beginning of their journey, I offer a few pieces of advice:

• Invest in Yourself: Dedicate time to developing your self-awareness and interpersonal skills. These often form the foundation of any creative endeavor.

• Embrace Interdisciplinarity: Combining different fields can open up new perspectives and inspire you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and broaden your horizons.

• Learn from Your Mistakes: Every failure is an opportunity to learn. Approach setbacks as lessons that help you grow and refine your abilities.

• Stay Authentic: In a world where it’s easy to succumb to the pressure of being someone else, preserve your individuality. Authenticity is what attracts people and builds trust.

These three areas – authenticity, interdisciplinary thinking, and an unwavering desire to learn – have enabled me to achieve what I do today. I believe that by nurturing these qualities, anyone can find their path and effectively shape their future.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am open to collaborating with people who truly love what they do – creative souls who combine passion, authenticity, and professionalism. I’m looking for individuals engaged in art, fashion, and photography, as well as those eager to experiment and create unique projects together. I’m primarily interested in models, artists, stylists, and creative agencies with whom I can push the boundaries of aesthetics and artistic expression.

If you feel that our values and visions for collaboration align, please get in touch. Together, we can create something truly exceptional!
