We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karolina Poyedis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Karolina, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
When it comes to being persistent in my career and in my goals. I feel that, even though I have haters and naysayers. I don’t listen to their judgment. I follow my own goals and my own path. I also feel that I try not to rely on how people perceive me, but as how I can accomplish my goals, better. Just because someone is telling me no or someone is always putting me down and break my spirit. It will actually make me stronger and I persevere by listening to the negative energy and just taking that and turning it into positivity and going forth my goals.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a stay at home mom with a seven-year-old daughter who is dedicated to homeschooling, higher education and working from home. I am a mom that is determined to give my daughter a better life while still working from home and accomplishing my own goals. I have discovered that being an influencer in momblogger while still being a learning coach to my daughter are very essential rolls, and I strive every day to be amazing in both my work and my home schooling role as well. I am not only a teacher, but also an influencer that is always consistently on top of the hottest trends, and hottest momlife hacks and educational books.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The advice I would give people that are starting out in this career, and in this life journey would be that never give up. Just because something is hard you still have to do it. Embrace the unknown and follow your dreams. Just because you have naysayers that doesn’t give you the right to give up. Sometimes the most uncomfortable thing that needs to be done and has to be done will help you persevere.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I definitely have to take a 15 minute break by myself. And really assess why I’m feeling overwhelmed. What did I do to get to the situation. And also, how can I resolve this overwhelming feeling. For me I need silence and time to think to strategize more into really taking a moment of silence and peace.
