We were lucky to catch up with Kashlee Ashlee recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kashlee, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability. 

My ability to take risk is all tied upon my faith. I’ve always believed in myself so my confidence in God and I keeps fear to a minimum. No risk equals no success; theres no chasing your dreams without taking the risk to even do so and with that has to come faith. I can currently say now that I’m taking one of the biggest risks of my career by trusting in my talents and moving to New York. I’m going full time with my fashion career, collaborating with models and producing content creation for brands, photoshoots and video shoots. I’m emerging my fashion house to become a well-respected fashion name. Of course numerous ‘what ifs’ may cross my mind, but none are greater than what I want to do in life and the dreams I know i’m going to accomplish.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself? 

I am originally from New York and was raised outside Atlanta. Since my childhood i’ve always been heavily drawn into fashion starting with  styling my own dolls and curating my own pieces to express myself and personality so it was very evident somehow, that was going to become my career. My love for fashion grown more and more and eventually I completed my bachelors degree from Savannah Arts of College and Design in Fashion Marketing. My expertise spans from fashion storytelling, design, styling, and product development. I have worked with multiple beauty and fashion brands focusing on highlighting emerging Black & Brown-founded labels. I ultimately founded a creative fashion company, Kash’d Out by Kash LLC. Kash’d Out is an emerging luxury fashion house focusing on well-crafted and exclusive timeless pieces, wardrobe styling, consulting, set design and creative direction services for brands, photoshoots and video shoots.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most? 

Determination, faith and fearlessness.
