We recently connected with Kashon “Bussa” Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Kashon “Bussa” , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism derives from my journey. No matter what I have been through in my life both personal & business, being intentional with each goal is satisfying internally for me even if I come up short. Each goal has an outcome and each outcome contributes to another layer of my optimism.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Well, Im from The Bronx, Uptown Whiteplains Road to be specific. Being a Full-Time Entrepreneur and Creator has its pros and cons but I love it. I have my hands in a few different fields. Photography, Fashion Design, Authorship, and Philanthropy. Bussalenz, being a traveling celebrity photographer has opened up a variety of doors introducing me to new community, clients, companies, private entities, magazines, and more. Designing clothing is my first love and always will be. Seeing myself and my community in garments from Bussafitsbrand is expressive on the highest level. Writing in general was always in my arsenal of skills. In 2021 I wrote and published my first book titled “The Fundamentals Throughout College”. This book is very essential because it gives personal experience and testimony about my journey that high schools students should know and learn about as they venture off into college. My book is the perfect segway into my long term goal which is being a philanthropist. BFB Give Back is a branch of my business where I utilize it to ship goods to other countries, provide clothing to local shelters and be a contributor to back to school giveaways.

As you may know already, social media has expanded to where are really in a whole new era. On my personal Instagram page @Bussafits you will see a new series that I started in august titled “Here n There”. The purpose of the platform is to influence others to travel and see the world. This is also means not waiting on others to live your life. Thats insane. By the time this is published, episode 3 should be released already. In terms of expansion, I’ve been traveling more not only for leisure but for business as well. That way my platforms has more reach when I meet people in person and real time. Lastly, Bussalenz studio is pending for 2025/2026.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My number one quality is maintaining my Integrity. Being in multiple industries will test you a lot and be very challenging in a lot of situations. Returning to my morals and principles always keeps me steady as elevate in my career,

My number two in terms of skill set, is writing down all of your ideas and doing your research on those filed specific ideas. When you write down your ideas, you free up your brain capacity and best believe their always research to do when preparing for any projects, events, seminars, career day and more.

My number three when it comes to area of knowledge, is maintaining the passion for what you actually love to do. Being a creator and loving your craft can sometimes be over whelming when business gets involve. “Having genuine passion will sustain you through both ups and downs of your journey”. – Bussa

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

My biggest area of growth has been in leadership. As a CEO and Owner you start off doing everything your self. That’s involves, emails, advertisement, pitching, inventory, brand partnerships, BTS, serving clients and more. When my businesses started to expand I had to learn how to be more vulnerable and trusting of others in order for my business to elevate. Piece by piece, I have been slowly building my team this year and 2025 is going to be a very productive year.
