Meet Kass Gomez

We recently connected with Kass Gomez and have shared our conversation below.

Kass, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My sole purpose for this project is tied to my past traumas and the desire to help others overcome their past traumas and mental health barriers. After being taken from the home at an early age due to allegations against my step father. I ran away and bounced around the legal and child services system until I emancipated at the age of 17 years old. That was only the beginning of my trauma, as I woke up one day and said, “This can’t be all that there is to life.” I became depressed again, and decided to take control of my own life with determination to find my purpose in life. Which led me on a yoga meditation retreat in the San Luis Valley, Colorado. After leaving the retreat, I felt like I had pushed myself through some hard stuff but felt a sense of emptiness, LIKE NOW WHAT? In that, I started to really dive into what it would look like to help people integrate after retreats, provide mental health and trauma coaching. And 3 years later, I am the proud founder of the Inspired Warrior Project and now the city owner of The Beauty Boost Denver.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the Founder of Inspired Warrior Project and Owner of The Beauty Boost Denver. I am a holistic trauma informed life & wellness coach, reiki practitioner, trauma informed breathwork & cacao facilitator, certified personal trainer and super connector. I love empowering all humans alike to be the empowered versions of themselves through their own core values. I am a Colorado Native that went into group homes and foster care at the age of 13 and was later emancipated at 17 years old. I later went on to find myself in an abusive relationship that landed me in the hospital with a punctured lung and fractured rib and months later a broken cheek bone that is still broke until this day. After this I ended up being in a 9+ year on and off again emotionally destructive relationship which actually ended up being the discovery of my healing and true potential.

I love sharing my story with others to help empower them to know that not all is lost. Through hard work, dedication, community and a support system, you can live a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle. I am very passionate about using my voice to help others and teach others how to find their voice along the way. Learning to set clear boundaries is the foundation of self-love that bleeds into other parts of our lives.

I took control of my life and put myself in trauma therapy, went on a couple of retreats then later became a certified personal trainer. I honestly though that was what the Inspired Warrior Project was going to be. Personal Training Coaching. After all, being in the gym daily was my safe haven for my sanity, my depression, ADHD, CPTSD and anxiety. Overtime I learned that my spirituality should be apart of my business since that was becoming a big part of me. It was my foundation outside of my core values. Thus becoming trauma informed and breathwork facilitator here in Denver, Colorado. Now I am able to offer more holistic non-traditional and traditional wellness and life coaching services.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

There are many key qualities and skills that had a huge impact on my journey. I would say that my support system was the number one quality for me to heal. Without having a solid support system to allow me to find myself, heal and conquer, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve the dreams, goals and healing that I have in order to run a business let alone two or three, on top of living a healthy and attainable life that I am today. My support system consists of my best friends Courtney and Lauren, my greatest love Mike, and our pups, my cousin Stephanie who has always been by my side since day one, and my coaches along the way (You know who you are).

Having my support system allowed me to look inward to evaluate and acknowledge the life I was living, the healing I needed and desired, which later led me to learning in trauma therapy and a lot of reading. Whether it was a self help book or putting myself through multiple training sessions to get certified. I am still in trauma therapy with the amazing Christine and in training to finish my sound bowl certification. I am a firm believer that we shouldn’t stop learning. Whether that is learning something new or learning more about yourself, I have had a lot of aha moments going through my trauma informed certifications. It gave me perspective into why I would be so reactional in my life and why breathwork really helped calm my nervous system from going into fight or flight.

Breathwork became my new sanctuary instead of the gym to the point that I realized I was doing breathwork through my workout sessions. At Inspired Warrior Project it is my main tool that I teach to my coaching clients and the main service I provide in Colorado. I also incorporate cacao with my breathwork because it allows myself and others to be open hearted to understand themselves and connect to the higher self. Breathwork helps access stored away emotions and I assist in helping you calm your nervous system so you can release stored trauma and emotions.

Without having these qualities, knowledge and skill sets I wouldn’t be where I am today. Able to calm my nervous system, process my emotions and communicate my needs. While also being a support system to my Inspired Warrior Project coaching clients, friends and family.

How would you describe your ideal client?

An Inspired Warrior Project ideal client is a men, women, couples, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals alike who are ready to take control of their lives, find their voice to be empowered and live a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle. A client who is ready to make actual change and reach out when they are struggling as well as utilize the Inspired Warrior Project community. You have to be able to be honest with yourself first and foremost in order to be vulnerable with yourself and myself as your coach.
