We were lucky to catch up with Kassandra (kc) Dominguez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kassandra (KC), you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from a desire to connect, help, and make a positive impact. Knowledge and creativity grow when shared, and if I can offer something valuable—whether it’s insight, inspiration, or simply a helpful answer—I’m happy to do so.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As a multimedia producer, I specialize in photography, videography, editing, and graphic design, bringing stories to life through visual storytelling. My brand, 305on35, is all about capturing the essence of Miami on 35mm film, blending nostalgia with modern creativity. What excites me most about my work is the ability to freeze moments in time—whether it’s a raw, unfiltered street scene, a carefully curated campaign for a brand or even a simple headshot photo.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my services, working on new projects that push creative boundaries, and collaborating with brands that align with my vision.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey as a multimedia producer are creative adaptability, technical proficiency, and storytelling intuition. The industry is constantly evolving, from trends to technology. Being open to experimenting, learning new techniques, and pushing creative boundaries has helped me stay ahead. Mastering photography, videography, editing, and design has been crucial in bringing my ideas to life. Knowing how to execute a vision efficiently makes a huge difference. At the core of multimedia production is the ability to tell compelling stories. Whether it’s a brand campaign or a personal project, the emotion and narrative behind an image or video make it impactful. For those just starting out, my biggest tip is to just create—don’t wait for the perfect project or the best gear. Every shoot, edit, and design is a learning experience that gets you closer to mastering your craft.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The biggest challenge I’m currently facing is scaling my brand while maintaining creative authenticity. As demand grows for my work, balancing client projects with personal creative expression can be tough. I never want my work to feel purely transactional—I want it to stay true to my artistic vision.
To overcome this, I’m focusing on strategic collaborations and selective project choices. I’m being intentional about working with brands and clients that align with my style and values. Additionally, I’m streamlining my workflow with better time management and outsourcing certain tasks when needed, so I can focus on the creative aspects that matter most.
Another key step is building a stronger personal brand presence—sharing more behind-the-scenes content, passion projects, and engaging with my audience in a way that reinforces what 305on35 truly represents. This helps attract the right opportunities rather than just chasing work for the sake of it.
It’s a constant balancing act, but staying grounded in my artistic vision while adapting to growth is the key to overcoming it.
