We recently connected with Kat Weaver and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kat, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Even as a serial entrepreneur, I constantly struggle with imposter syndrome. I found that a reminder of even the smallest wins, customer testimonials, or transformations I’ve been able to provide gets me through the moments of doubt.
In order to keep reminding myself, I have a photo album specifically dedicated to all of the good things – from PR features to customer reviews or success stories. As these moments happen, I take a screenshot and add it to my album labeled “work motivation” so that when I need to be reminded to keep going – I spend a few minutes reviewing the successes to get refocused.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In my entrepreneurial journey the three most impactful qualities that led me to scale, sell, and start another venture are grit, passion, and coachability.
I believe that grit beats passion every time. Someone can be excited about their company, but are they willing to make hard choices and sacrifice for delayed success/gratification?
For founders early in their journey, I urge them to find mentors or advisors to push them to grow, remain accountable, and make introductions to support their growth.
I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of family, friends, and mentors around me.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One of the most instrumental books in my journey as a founder is Traction by Gino Wickman.
Most founders have “shiny object syndrome” and can get distracted by things that might not be moving them forward. The book is tactical, easy to read, and offers knowledge on DIRECTLY implementing steps and taking action to grow the team, foundations, and more.
One really important lesson for me was setting 90-day goals with the executive team. Setting a specific meeting every 90 days to review these key metrics has been instrumental in our success.
