Meet Kate Wish

We were lucky to catch up with Kate Wish recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

When I reflect on where my resilience comes from, I think about my journey from Moscow to the United States at just 19 years old. Leaving behind everything I knew—my family, my career in criminal justice, my entire identity—was an act of immense courage driven by a desire for a new beginning. It was a leap into the unknown, filled with obstacles that often felt insurmountable.

In this new land, I faced challenges that tested my resolve daily. From navigating a foreign culture to establishing my footing in a professional landscape, resilience wasn’t just a trait; it became a necessity. Yet, during this journey, I discovered something profound: the strength and wisdom of the indigenous communities I encountered. Their stories of perseverance and connection to the land and each other resonated deeply with me.

The indigenous peoples’ cultural essence is rooted in resilience, shaped by their history and the challenges they’ve faced. They teach the importance of community, the power of storytelling, and the ability to rise after every fall. It’s this connection that has inspired me and reinforced my own resilience. Their ability to honor their past while forging a path forward mirrors my own journey, reminding me that resilience is not just about survival—it’s about growth, learning, and finding strength in our shared humanity.

Ultimately, my resilience is a tapestry woven from my past experiences, the lessons I’ve learned from those around me, and my unwavering belief in the possibility of a brighter future. It is a testament to the power of starting anew and the relationships that enrich our lives along the way.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

In my journey as a solo entrepreneur, I have had the privilege of founding Wish – Superpower Agency, a full-service creative agency specializing in PR and marketing, that bridges the gap between brands and their customers through creativity and technology.

My business model is deeply rooted in the principles of collaboration and community support. My work focuses on helping small businesses and entrepreneurs by offering free website development services in partnership with a talented web development team. This initiative embodies my belief in the power of like-minded individuals coming together to uplift one another on their paths to success.

Having volunteered for several years at the Woodbine Ecology Center in Sedalia, Colorado, I became intimately involved with indigenous community practices, creating lifelong memories and connections. This experience inspired me to organize events that celebrate native culture, such as the “RezoNation Sound Circle Series,” a life music event and stand-up comedy show featuring native artists during the Denver March Pow Wow in Boulder. Over the past two years, I’ve also collaborated closely with local tribes in Oklahoma, focusing on developing sustainable business structures and marketing strategies that promote collaboration over competition. My mission is to support people and their dreams rather than corporations, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

My drive to pursue this path stems from a rebellious spirit against a system that often overlooks those who struggle. When I moved to the U.S., I faced my own challenges: I didn’t speak English, had no connections, and started with only $700. Yet, the desire to create a better life propelled me forward, and I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams, regardless of the obstacles they face.

The most fulfilling aspect of my work lies in the joy of community—seeing people come together, transcending their differences, and collectively striving for a better life. For me, this journey is about healing, both for individuals and for the planet. I stand for every living being and advocate for a world where we raise awareness about the healing potential that exists within us and around us.

Recently, I initiated a collaboration with iPyramids to promote quantum healing through biogeometry and frequency. As the visionary behind The Sound Theory Broadcast, I educate people globally on how sound and vibrations impact every living being and the universe itself, emphasizing their role in healing practices.

Through my story and work, I aspire to touch lives around the world and share the message that healing is possible for everyone, both inside and out. Together, we can create a better world, one where healing and collaboration flourish. If you or someone you know needs a free website, please reach out—let’s embark on this journey together!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities stand out as pivotal to my success: resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to community. Each has played a crucial role in shaping my path and overcoming the challenges I’ve faced.

1. Resilience: This quality has been my anchor. The ability to bounce back from setbacks and keep pushing forward is essential, especially when venturing into the unknown. For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating resilience by embracing challenges as learning opportunities. Surround yourself with supportive networks, and don’t be afraid to share your struggles; I strongly believe that vulnerability is a fundamental source of strength.

Adaptability: Navigating a new culture and industry requires flexibility. I quickly learned that being open to change and adjusting my approach based on circumstances is vital. To develop adaptability, practice stepping outside your comfort zone regularly. Engage with diverse perspectives, be willing to pivot your plans, and remain curious about the world around you. This mindset will help you thrive in any environment.

3. Commitment to Community:
Building relationships and supporting others has been the core factor to my work. I believe that success is not just about individual achievement; it’s about uplifting those around us. For early-stage entrepreneurs, I advise actively seeking out and engaging with your community. Volunteer, attend local events, or join networks that align with your values. Building genuine connections can open doors and create opportunities you might not have anticipated.

In summary, focus on developing resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to community. These qualities will not only enhance your personal growth but also enable you to make a meaningful impact on others. Remember, every step you take, no matter how small, contributes to your journey. Embrace it with an open heart and mind, and you’ll find both fulfillment and success along the way.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m always looking to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations who share a passion for community, creativity, and healing.

I’m particularly interested in partnering with:
– Indigenous artists, leaders, and communities who are preserving and celebrating their cultural heritage. Whether it’s through events, sustainable business initiatives, or storytelling, I’m committed to amplifying their voices and supporting their goals.
– Entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking to grow their brands with purpose-driven marketing and PR strategies. My agency, Wish – Superpower Agency, specializes in helping businesses connect with their audiences through creativity and technology, and I’m always excited to work with those who value collaboration over competition.
– Healers, educators, and innovators in the fields of sound therapy, quantum healing, and biogeometry. As the visionary behind The Sound Theory Broadcast, I’m passionate about exploring how sound and vibrations can impact healing on a global scale. If you’re working in this space, let’s connect and create something transformative together.
– Web developers and creatives who are interested in joining our initiative to provide free website development services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. This project is all about empowering others to succeed, and I’d love to expand our team of talented collaborators.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you!
