Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Katelyn Garcia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Katelyn, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my parents! They are long time business owners and growing up, they showed me how important it was to work hard towards the things that you want in life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am the owner and lead designer of Katalina Floral & Co. located in Fort Worth, Texas and also serving the Red Lodge, Montana area!! Growing up, I always wanted to own my own business and after a few years of working full time I made it happen. I like to think that Katalina Floral & Co. is your one-stop-shop for all things floral design! You can find me at local Fort Worth markets, my “floral vending machine” at Ostara Coffee Roaster and at weddings in Fort Worth and Red Lodge! I love bringing my clients floral dreams to life and hope to have the opportunity to do that for the rest of my life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
One of the hardest things of starting my business was taking the leap of faith and fully putting my time and effort into it! I always tell people that without my support system and not being afraid to fail, I wouldn’t be where I am now. Starting a business truly takes confidence, resilience and determination!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, I am always looking to collaborate with other local businesses! Whether that is a coffee shop to place one of my “floral vending machines in” or a local business to host a bouquet making class in. I think it is so important to be apart of the community and to support other local small businesses!
