Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kathryn Schwarz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kathryn, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
For me, creativity is nurtured by honoring my unique energy and intuition, moment to moment. We often limit creativity to art, music, or writing, but I see it as our unique self-expression in everything we do — how we uniquely… begin our day, speak to a friend, work on a team, cook a meal, choose an outfit, greet a stranger, parent, love and lead. Creativity thrives when I give myself permission to respond to life as it unfolds, rather than trying to control or perfect it. It’s less about “producing something new” for others and more about cultivating a receptive and relaxed state of being — attuned to my inner life and the magic in the ordinary around me. When I’m soft, curious, embodied, and saying yes to what lights me up, my unique creativity naturally flows through me.
Human Design and Gene Keys are spiritual self-awareness tools that I use daily to cultivate this state of being as well as reiki, connection to nature, nervous system care, meditation, and being really intentional about the quantity and content of what I consume. We cannot create while we are consuming from others. I imperfectly practice curating my intake of news, social media, film, tv, books, podcasts, music, and even the daily lives of my loved ones so that I am aware of what is inspiring and nurturing uniquely to me and what feels draining or is contributing to a constricted, stressed, fear state of being for me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m an intuitive Human Design and Gene Keys coach who nurtures women to trust their intuition, embody their unique energy, and express themselves with clarity and confidence. My work sits at the intersection of spirituality and practicality — it’s equal parts self-discovery, nervous system regulation, creative awakening and courageous action.
What feels most exciting to me is witnessing the moment a woman breaks free from one of her “shoulds” and chooses more joy and ease in her life! Or when she takes care of herself or draws a boundary without guilt or anxiety! Or when she realizes she’s already creative — that creativity isn’t something you “do,” it’s who you ARE (when you’re aligned with your truth) in everything you “do”.
Transformation with me isn’t about learning your Human Design and Gene Keys; it’s about taking one piece that resonates with you and experimenting with it, in small daily ways over time, until life starts to feel easier, more alive, and distinctly your own. It’s about remembering that you have the inherent power to create a life aligned with your soul’s purpose. Human Design and Gene Keys just give you new language, perspective, inspiration and an energetic blueprint to remember who you are and why you are here.
My brand is built around intimacy, depth and lived experience. I don’t teach from theory — I walk beside my clients, over time, and guide them to experiment with what it means to live their own design while I share what it means to live mine. Our journeys together deepen self-trust and ignite courage to express your unique creativity and purpose.
I offer two group journeys: Intuitive by Design is a six-week online journey that helps women reconnect with their inner compass and make aligned decisions with confidence. Wild Blooms is a three-month online journey with an in-person retreat that deepens this work through embodiment, community, and creative expression. Both experiences are invitations to slow down, return to your body, and rediscover the joy of being fully alive in your own life. Doors for both experiences will open again in early 2026, but women on the waitlist can reserve their spot during an exclusive window in November 2025. You can explore all the dreamy details of both journeys and join the waitlist here: https://www.kathrynschwarz.me

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The major turning point for me was when I stopped prioritizing everyone else’s needs or trying to follow everyone else’s “version of success” and I started honoring what was best for me. In order to do that, I needed to learn how to slow down, connect with my inner life and take action aligned with my energy, heart, purpose and intuition.
My advice for folks early in their journey is to experiment with teachers, practitioners and practices that help you slow down, tune inwards and trust yourself — until you find the ones that uniquely resonate with you. These will change as you change. What supports you in one season of your evolution will not necessarily be what you need in another. Keep exploring and don’t settle. Trust yourself, your intuition and your body — first and foremost — about who and what is right for you.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I started surrounding myself with people who weren’t telling me what to do (and didn’t need anything from me), but who were empowering me to trust myself to know what to do. I invested in learning from the people who were imperfectly and authentically practicing the way of life that most resonated with or intrigued me. I followed my intuition to them. Engaging while I felt inspired and nurtured by them and then saying goodbye when it felt right.
The most notable people who impacted my journey were an amazing trauma therapist, a loving reiki master, a meditation teacher who radiated peace, various spiritual/self-development/coaching communities and experiences along the way and a small circle of chosen family.
It’s important with your teachers/practitioners to not blindly follow or outsource your power to anyone. You are here to create a life and impact that imitates no one. The only person who can guide you, step-by-step, through creating that is YOU. None of us are meant to do it alone though – we’re meant to find our people who support us in becoming a brighter version of ourselves!
