Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to KATIE VALENTINE. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
KATIE, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Ten years ago, at the peak of my DJ career, Facetune hit the market, and I developed body and facial dysmorphia. At 24, I sat in a doctor’s office with a Facetuned photo of myself. I called it “my dream face,” begging him to make me look like that. I had been called horrible names on the internet. My agency even circulated a photo of me, saying I looked fat and pregnant. My already fragile confidence was shattered.
After playing around on his computer for a few minutes, the doctor turned it around, and I saw my dream face. In that moment, I felt in my bones the kind of life a woman who looks like that would have. I imagined how much easier my existence would be. When I found myself in the bank trying to get a $40,000 loan for plastic surgery, I had a BIG wake up call.
It took many years and numerous rock bottoms before I finally found “the work.” The day I hit my scariest rock bottom, I found my hypnotherapist, who is now my partner in healing in my signature program ‘Metamorphosis.’ Through subconscious work, I completely redefined my self-concept.
After years of abusing my body, avoiding mirrors, analyzing photos of myself online, and injecting crap into my face, I began to fall in love with the woman I saw in the mirror each morning. It took a lot of repetition—my low self-esteem had taken over two decades to develop—but through consistency and dedication, I have rebuilt myself from the ground up.
And I fucking love the woman I have become in the process.

Hi, My name is Katie Valentine – An Australian Born, Barcelona based mentor, healer, DJ and writer.
In 2016, at 26, I had ‘the perfect life’: The perfect apartment, and a calendar full of well-paid commercial DJ gigs.
But I also had extreme bulimia, crippling anxiety, and paranoia.
The Australian healthcare system had put me on antidepressants for celiac disease & I lost an entire year of my life.
Due to trauma I had avoided and stuffed down with food and alcohol, I had grown up into an unregulated mess – and no one knew what to do with me. The day I hit rock bottom, was the day I discovered the power of the subconscious mind, and thus, my purpose was born.
Through deeply personalized 1:1 spaces I have supported hundreds of men and women all over the world to tap into their subconscious power and create their ‘f*ck yes’ lives and an internal world where they feel safe, happy, supported, and living in their purpose.
I use various techniques such as deep transformative coaching, hypnotherapy, subconscious techniques, somatics, EFT Tapping, Human Design, and Sound Healing to help you move past your blocks, unlock your power and authenticity, and have an impact on this world while creating your IDEAL life in the process.
These modalities saved me from many years of low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders and have empowered me to create a business and my dream life on my own terms.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Consistency 2. Subconscious work 3. Courage
There are two times the door between the conscious and the subconscious mind open.
When we wake up every morning we are met with two choices: Jump right into the day, with yesterday’s thoughts still carried over from yesterday, or consciously and deliberately choose the easier path. The earliest time in the day is the best time to find the path of least resistance and set up your “frequency.” Making a commitment to yourself first thing in the morning is the fast-track way to self-trust, and when we trust ourselves, we can surrender to trusting our life path.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Last year, I created a ‘future self’ workshop that helps others bridge the gap between their current circumstances and their dream future version of self. I have performed this for over 700 people in person and on Insight Timer since.
I am always eager to offer this workshop at retreats (in Europe and Bali), online group programs, Instagram LIVE or to speak on podcasts. I love sharing my story and inspiring hope in others.
