Meet Katrina Harris

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Katrina Harris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Katrina, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience developed from having a competitive spirit, which I developed at an early age through athletics. I’ve always been able to handle tough times with grace and find away to make a positive out of difficult situation. This is a big part of my brand Ace Hygh and the foundation that we stand on. I pride myself in being resilient and choosing everyday to grow and learn.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a Jack of ALL trades, and an ACE of some. I started Ace Hugh at the height of the pandemic after struggling to find leggings that fit me just right. In an underrepresented market, I promised to deliver athleisure with comfort, sass, and quality that supports curves and builds your confidence to win every time because it’s your house – your game, your rules!

Ace Hygh represents the energy required to get results. It represents not just the dream but the journey for doers. It is in the journey where you write and rewrite your story to find a way to win and achieve success. So, whether you’re anchored trump tight on your journey or not, remember it’s your game your rules!

Your Game, Your Rules – our tagline – is as simple as that. Living life by your rules and playing the hand you were dealt. Not conforming.

I am passionate about giving back and building community. Ace Hygh will be hosting our 1st annual Santa Brunch on December 10th in Charlotte, NC. Proceeds from the event will benefit The American Diabetes Association

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Confidence The willingness to learn
Creativity

I think the biggest things to remember on your journey is your why.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
I believe the most impactful things that my parents did for me was teach me to be an individual and and the ability to problem solve. Those two lessons have gotten me far in my personal life, my career and entrepreneurship.
