Meet Katrina Spencer, M.Ed.

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Katrina Spencer, M.Ed.. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Katrina below.

Katrina, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I attribute my strong work ethic to the powerful influences of my grandmother, whom we affectionately called Bigma, and my mother. Both of these remarkable women instilled in me the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance from a very young age. Bigma and my mother were not only hard workers themselves, but they were also fiercely loyal to their commitments and endeavors. They showed me through their actions that success is not merely handed to you; rather, it’s earned through dedication and determination.
One of the most important lessons they taught me is that anything and everything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work. They instilled in me a “make it happen” attitude, encouraging me to tackle challenges head-on and to never settle for mediocrity.
These experiences have undoubtedly shaped my approach as a realtor. I carry forward the lessons they taught me, striving to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional service to my clients. Whether it’s negotiating deals or assisting with complex transactions, I’m driven by the belief that with dedication and perseverance, anything is achievable.
In the competitive world of real estate, my work ethic serves as the foundation of my success, propelling me to go above and beyond for my clients every step of the way. I am deeply grateful for the guidance and inspiration provided by my grandmother and mother, as they continue to be the driving force behind my passion for excellence in everything I do.”

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As a licensed realtor and founder of Well Deserved LLC, being recognized as a multi-million dollar producer and a top agent within Keller Williams Franchise is a testament to the dedication I bring to my profession. Serving on the Agent Leadership Council adds an extra layer of fulfillment, as I’m able to contribute to shaping the industry landscape At Well Deserved LLC,. our mission is to ensure that every client receives the education and advocacy they deserve when navigating the real estate market whether they are buying, selling, or investing. What’s truly invigorating is that this pursuit never feels like work to me. Advocating for others is ingrained in my nature, and to have the opportunity to do so in a career that I am deeply passionate about is immensely gratifying.

However, My journey into real estate wasn’t conventional, it was transformative. After spending over 13 years as a special education teacher, the stress and anxiety induced by the politics within the education system became overwhelming. Transitioning into administrative roles provided some relief, but it was real estate that truly saved me.

I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. My career in education has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in my success in real estate. Moreover, my love for the arts, culture, dining, and travel enriches both my personal and professional life, enabling me to connect with clients on a deeper level and understand their unique preferences and aspirations.

At Well Deserved LLC, our commitment to our clients extends far beyond the transaction. Once you’re a part of our family, you receive unlimited support, participate in quarterly giveaways, and gain access to our network of vendors with exclusive discounts on services. We firmly believe in building lasting relationships and providing ongoing support to our clients, ensuring that their needs are met long after the deal is done. When you work with us, you’re not just getting a realtor – you’re getting a partner in your journey, and that’s a privilege that’s truly well-deserved!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
3 qualities – adaptability, effective communication and understanding of your industry, of others and most importantly yourself. I recently discovered the importance of allowing moments of downtime. Sometimes, the best ideas and relationships came when I was not actively thinking about work. Taking breaks, going for walks, or simply enjoying hobbies allows my mind to wander freely, and often, that’s when the most creative ideas emerge and authentic partnerships are formed.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
In the fast-paced world of real estate, where the demands of clients and the intricacies of transactions can be overwhelming, I’ve learned that prioritizing self-care is not just a luxury but a necessity for maintaining effectiveness and success. Taking care of myself allows me to bring my best self to the table for my clients. Each morning, I begin with intentional practices aimed at nurturing my well-being through prayer, mindfulness, and occasional exercise which helps center and ground me for the day ahead. It allows me to approach my work with a clear mind, a sense of purpose and positive mindset.
Additionally, I make it a point to treat myself to a monthly massage to help unwind and recharge both physically and mentally.
