Meet Kayla Crane

We recently connected with Kayla Crane and have shared our conversation below.

Kayla, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem through a mix of therapy, self-reflection, and learning to set healthy boundaries. Over time, I started trusting my intuition and stopped tying my worth to others’ opinions.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the owner of South Denver Therapy, where we help individuals and couples heal, reconnect, and grow. As a relationship specialist, I focus on helping people improve communication, rebuild trust, and feel more connected. We recently opened a new office in Parker Colorado and expanded our team so we can support even more clients with services like EMDR, infidelity recovery, and child and teen counseling.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

First, being able to truly listen without judgment has been essential, it builds trust and connection. Second, staying curious and open to growth keeps me grounded and learning. And third, knowing how to take care of my own mental health has made me a better therapist; I’d tell anyone starting out to invest in their own healing just as much as their education.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is someone who is open to exploring their inner world and willing to be honest, even when it’s hard. You don’t have to have it all figured out, just a willingness to show up and do the work. I especially love working with couples who want to improve communication and feel more connected.
