We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kayla Melendez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kayla , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic is something that I’ve learned from my mom. She had me when she was only 16 years old and raised me as a single mother. Seeing her work so hard to provide for me has been a huge inspiration for me. It’s motivated me to push myself to be better, work harder, and never make excuses for not doing more. I’m forever grateful for her example and the values she’s instilled in me.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the owner of KKVPTURED, a business that specializes in portrait photography and social media management. My passion for photography began at a young age, and I’ve honed my skills over the years to capture beautiful and authentic photos that truly reflect my clients unique personality and style. As a photographer, I prioritize creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for my clients, so that they feel at ease and can be themselves during the photo session. My ultimate goal is to ensure that my clients are happy and satisfied with their results.
As a social media manager, I’m passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses unlock the full potential of social media. I provide a range of services, from content creation to social media management, that are tailored to my clients wants and needs. My approach is rooted in creativity, knowledge, and strategic thinking, and I aim to help my clients connect with their target audience in a meaningful and impactful way. With my unique blend of skills and expertise, I’m confident that I can help my clients achieve their social media goals and stand out in a crowded online space.
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
I’m currently facing the challenge of understanding that success takes time and effort, and it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. Even though I have many projects and ideas, I’m learning to take my time and figure out which ones are worth pursuing and how to achieve them. I’m embracing the journey and focusing on making progress, rather than trying to rush towards a specific outcome. With patience, persistence, and a positive attitude, I’m confident that I can overcome this challenge and achieve my goals.
