Meet Kaylee Dale

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kaylee Dale. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kaylee below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Kaylee with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I would have to say I get my work ethic from my dad, not only on a genetic level but a physical one. My dad taught me the value of hard work, never doing anything “half-ass” and to always know you can depend on one person, and that’s yourself.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an automotive Detailer, which to most might sound boring but to me, it’s far from it. I find my work exciting, taking cars that are dirty or scratched and turning them into showroom quality. The satisfaction I get from before & afters are unmatched, and when the customer sees their vehicle like that, they have peace of mind.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say three qualities/skills that were most impactful, weren’t necessarily detailing related. I had to learn to trust in myself, self-doubt is truly a killer in Entrepreneurship. Another one would be taking care of yourself. If your body isn’t right, the mind won’t be right. And lastly, showing up. Just keep showing up.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My mom and dad gave me the work ethic and tools I needed to become successful. They raised me in a home filled with love & hard work. We know how to work hard & play harder. And that’s really important when you work a physical job and spend a lot of time working. You have to allow for rest.
