We recently connected with Kdb and have shared our conversation below.

Hi KDB, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

I’ve been doing a lot for self care; Removing people from my life, changing what I listen to, screening what I consume, resting, and overall putting myself in places where I can be happy. Recently that meant getting a full time job. It’s helped removed so much stress and putting me in a great position to make better music. I’ve been buying a bunch of super healthy foods to keep me right and doing yoga a few times each week. I find that doing things this way I actually have much more energy and can accomplish a lot more in day.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I love doing so many things. I keep finding more interests each month it seems… But I really want to share my music with you all more than anything right now. I’ve got some stuff I’ve been cooking and I want to surprise y’all. Except new drops soon.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say creativity, initiative, and focus are the 3 things that helped me the most in my journey as a creative. I had to be creative enough to make own path and find opportunities, have enough initiative to go places that my peers hadn’t been and maintain the focus to stick to my goals even when things got shaky.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m looking to collaborate with people who share my goal of spreading positivity through music. I’m not saying you need to be a preacher but just understand that what we create holds power. I also want to work with people who are masters in their work and love what they create. If I’m describing you we will align well. Shoot me a message let’s work
