Meet Keane Eacobellis

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Keane Eacobellis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Keane, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

I feel like my mission and purpose is to amplify joy wherever I can. I think that drive comes from wishing that I had had that more in my development years from the people around me, that encouraged me and motivated me through positive reinforcement and a sense of potential and possibility. So I make it my mission that no matter what space I’m in, I celebrate the people that share their joy and their dreams and their passions. To encourage them and inspire them to be the best version of themselves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m currently a Marketing Coordinator for Insomniac Events, but i’ve lived a lot of lives in my time. With a background in Video + Media Production, I’ve worked extensively on Film sets consisting of commercials and short films, having written/directed/produced a few of those projects. I’ve been a content creator, using the free time we were all forced to take in 2020 to grow a platform on Twitch, producing live streams and creating social media content that I still take part in to this day. Now professionally, I help coordinate the marketing and experience for weekly live events in the Clubs Division for the rave company Insomniac Events. I’ve gotten to be a part of some amazing ventures in my 1.5 years, including one of the biggest Charity initiatives in SoCal with the LA Fire Benefit and exciting things that I cannot yet discuss in the works.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Adaptability – Having done a variety of different jobs and side hustles, I’ve learned that the skills you develop can almost always have a purpose no matter where you go. Being able to tap into your skills no matter what the job looks like is invaluable and will serve you better than any “hard skill”

Resilience – Hard days and tough times exist everywhere- at your lowest and at your happiest points in your life. Being able to push through, to tell yourself these times are only temporary, and to give as much as you can as often as you can is a skill that will serve you professionally and personally.

Confidence – I would not be in the place I am in life if I had not constantly told myself before each new venture “You can do this”. TRUST me that some days that belief is harder to find than others, but I would not have the life that I do now if when I wanted to make films, when I wanted to try Content Creation, and when I wanted to work for my dream company I did not have the confidence to take that first step.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Belief in Yourself. Telling myself “I can do this” or “I deserve this job” is always the first step and taking the first step is usually the most difficult part of the path.
