We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Keatah Brooks. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Keatah below.
Hi Keatah, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence was shaped early on by the support of my parents, who always encouraged me to believe in myself and pursue whatever I set my mind to. That foundation gave me the courage to trust in my abilities and stay focused on my goals, even when the path wasn’t easy.
I’ve learned that making an impact doesn’t require being in the spotlight. I’m proud of what I bring to the table, no matter where I’m seated. I also believe deeply in collaboration—there’s enough room for all of us to succeed. Cheering others on and helping them rise doesn’t diminish my own journey; it makes the whole space brighter.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the CEO and Founder of Lotus Infusion and Wellness, a boutique wellness clinic in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a board-certified nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience—I became increasingly passionate about helping people be proactive about their health instead of reactive. That’s what inspired me to launch Lotus.
At Lotus, we focus on IV hydration therapy, medical weight loss, and hormone replacement therapy —all designed to help our clients feel like the best version of themselves. What makes us special is our deeply personalized care. We don’t do cookie-cutter treatment plans. We take time to understand each individual and guide them with compassion and honesty. Our environment is warm and welcoming, and many clients say it feels like family when they walk through our doors.
The most exciting part for me is seeing the transformation, not just physically, but emotionally. When someone comes in feeling drained, frustrated, or unseen, and leaves feeling energized, confident, and hopeful—that’s powerful. It’s an honor to be part of that journey.
Right now, we’re expanding our hormone replacement therapy (HRT) program and will soon be adding aesthetic services like Botox. We’re also exploring additional locations and partnerships to bring more holistic wellness options to the community.
At the heart of everything we do is the belief that you don’t have to wait until you’re sick to start taking care of yourself. Wellness is a lifestyle—and we’re here to make it accessible, empowering, and sustainable.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are leadership, a take-charge mindset, and an unwavering desire to succeed.
I’ve never been passive when it comes to my goals. I believe in showing up and taking action—especially when no one else will. That willingness to lead, even when it’s uncomfortable, has opened doors I never imagined.
Second, I have a natural drive to take initiative. I don’t wait for perfect conditions—I move forward with what I have and figure the rest out along the way. That mindset has allowed me to build and grow Lotus Infusion and Wellness with confidence and purpose.
And lastly, my desire to succeed keeps me hungry and humble. I’m always researching, learning, and seeking out people who know more than I do. That’s my biggest advice to others: get in the rooms with people who challenge and stretch you. Be willing to ask questions, take feedback, and evolve.
Also, pay attention to the thing that keeps you up at night—that idea, that dream, that nudge. That’s usually the thing you’re meant to pursue.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning how to operate not just as a provider, but as a confident entrepreneur and CEO. Participating in the Scale to Excel program through the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce has been a game-changer. It helped me step back and really look at the structure of my business—from identifying opportunities to streamline operations, to creating a clear and actionable growth plan.
I’ve always been passionate about serving others, but this past year taught me how to balance that passion with strategy. I now feel more equipped to lead, delegate, and make decisions that position Lotus Infusion and Wellness for long-term success. The program gave me the tools, but more importantly, it gave me the confidence to trust my vision and expand on it.
