Meet Keisa Campbell

We recently connected with Keisa Campbell and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Keisa, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose at an early age…around 8 years old to be more precise. But at 8, I didn’t know anything about purpose, I was just a little girl who enjoyed playing with babydolls and tea sets. However, what I realized is that I enjoyed helping others. I made this bright discovery after teaching my older cousin who was 12 years old at the time how to plait a baby doll’s hair. I can remember it like it was yesterday. There we were, the two of us sitting in my room on the bed. I was combing my baby doll’s hair and I decided to plait it. She was amused by what I was doing because she only knew how to twist but not plait and she asked me to teach her and told me that we weren’t going to sleep until she learned (lol). We stayed up until she got it. I didn’t think much of what I had just done at the time. Doing hair came naturally to me and so did teaching. Oh, and I think I was a good teacher…if I must say so myself. LOL.

There was another moment that stood out to me. One day while in high school, I walked in on the gym coach in the girl’s locker room sobbing because she had just received unfavorable news from her doctor. I sat down with her, and I listened to whatever she needed or wanted to get out and then I encouraged her. She told me later how I changed her perspective and that the conversation that I had with her changed her life and that one day when I marry, she would attend my wedding and she did. When I recalled these two experiences, I realized countless other experiences where I was an encourager, inspirer, and teacher.

Purpose is something that you have been doing the whole time and most times it’s overlooked because it doesn’t look all grandiose. For me, my purpose is to encourage, inspire, empower, and teach… the who and how may change over time. I ended up being a part-time master hair stylist and certified professional life coach. What I realized is no matter what line of work I found myself in, I always encourage, empowered, inspired, and taught something. That never changed. My purpose is to Empower, Encourage, Inspire, and Teach and I happen to do this now through speaking, coaching, writing, and workshops.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Well before I tell you what I do, let me tell you what I believe in. I believe in life by design, that you first must have a vision for your life, so you’ll know which direction you need to go and what goals need to be set. I also believe that transformation starts in the mind and to live a more fulfilled life means to transform disempowering circumstances into positive life experiences. In addition, I believe in Beautiful Living®. Beautiful Living is living a fulfilled life in every area of your life.

Hi, I’m Keisa Campbell, Founder, and CEO of Beautiful Living. Beautiful Living came to me around 2015 while on my own personal journey to find fulfillment. I knew more than anything, that I wanted to share and help other women to do the same. So, I set out on a journey to teach and help women from all walks of life to live a beautiful life. I am a speaker, coach, and author and I help women of faith to live more fulfilled lives. I get the opportunity to co-create with my clients the life they are seeking in every area of their lives. For a select period of time, I become my client’s co-pilot and help them to identify what Beautiful Living means to them. I work with them to achieve goals, get unstuck, overcome obstacles, gain clarity on their life’s vision, self-discovery, start their business, make changes or shifts in their lives to create harmony with all the things they have going on, and show up with brilliance. I am part visionary, part advisor, and my client’s biggest cheerleader. After working with me, my clients no longer feel lost without a compass and are less stressed and overwhelmed with their action plans for the future.

Beautiful Living is a holistic wellness brand created to impact, inspire and help women to live more fulfilled lives. Beautiful Living was founded on seven pillars and focuses on mental, spiritual, physical, relational, financial, career, and outward beauty. Through Beautiful Living, I partner with women of faith to help them discover their identity and cultivate a healthy mindset and vision while defining purpose and strategies to live beautifully. Beautiful Living is not only an invitation but a community for women. It’s designed to empower women to merge their faith and actions, in order to live more fulfilled lives. Beautiful Living is not a destination, it’s a journey.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
On my personal journey to Beautiful Living®, resiliency, perseverance, and a strong support system have been the three qualities that have been the most impactful along my journey. As I mentioned before, Beautiful Living is a journey, not a destination. Every day you must make a decision that you want to live beautifully and there will be times in life when life doesn’t look so beautiful, and you want to give up…give up on the desires of your heart. But it’s in those times…in those moments when you must first, decide not to give up. Secondly, tap into your support system for support and guidance. Your support system can be friends, family, a therapist, or even a coach. And thirdly, be resilient and persevere. Know that God never intended for you to do life alone.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a woman who is tired of feeling stagnant, directionless, lacking confidence, and feeling like she is on a constant hamster wheel. She knows it’s something more and is ready to prioritize herself and wake up each morning excited to take on the day. She is ready to reclaim her sassy, inner diva and live and operate in purpose. She is ready to get clear on her vision for her life and execute a plan to achieve it. Whether she is looking to create harmony with all the things that she has going on in life or to start her own business…she’s ready to live a more fulfilled life and start her journey to Beautiful Living®.
