Meet Keith Andrews

We were lucky to catch up with Keith Andrews recently and have shared our conversation below.

Keith, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from being blessed to wake up every day and having the opportunity to pursue my passion for filming consistently. There is someone out there who has the eye, talent, and everything else to be a great filmmaker as well, but the cards of life might not be in their favor, so I don’t take these opportunities for granted at all. I maximize the 86,400 seconds the most high blessed me with.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a filmmaker based out of South Carolina. I have been filming for 13 years now, and I’ve enjoyed every second of this ride. Some days are better than others, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. The most special part about what I do is the people I’ve met throughout this journey and the chance to listen to the various stories people have. I believe at the end of the day, most people just want their story told, and I thank God that I’ve become a vessel for people to visually tell that story. Event-wise, I stay busy with THE Phoenix Wrestling Experience, a professional wrestling company out of Augusta, Georgia, and a place I call home. Also, I just accepted a teaching position so I am very excited to get started on that!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that were most impactful to me were Respect, Kindness, and Perseverance. You have to respect everyone you come in contact with because you never know if you may need that person in the future. You can be up today and down bad tomorrow, and it can be that one person who you were nice to that can help you get back on your feet, so be nice and kind. Perseverance is big because adversity is going to come whether you like it or not. As soon as you exit the womb as a baby adversity will be waiting so you have to keep going and persevere through it because once you make it to the other side. It’ll be worth it and the benefits reaped with feel so much better.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

The biggest area of growth for me has been patience. I stay busy, and I used to be on go mode 24/7, but it really didn’t translate into my best work now I give myself patience to take those breaks, step away from the computer, have some fun, and THEN get back into work mode and that has been the decision I ever made, and now I feel like I’m on a run of a lifetime.
