Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kelley McCullough. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kelley, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Honestly, it comes from survival. My parents divorced when I was 5, and I had to grow up quick. By 7 I was crossing busy streets to grab Little Caesars and doing the grocery shopping. At that age, survival was all I knew—and that survival turned into resilience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
What I’m building is more than just a fashion page — it’s a space where I can share my love for style and creativity in a way that feels real and relatable. Fashion has always been my outlet, but for years I kept it to myself while focusing on my corporate career. It wasn’t until my husband pushed me to finally go for it that I decided to take the leap and start creating content.
What excites me most is the ability to inspire people through fashion, whether that’s showing how to style pieces in fresh ways, finding confidence through clothes, or just having fun with trends. I believe fashion isn’t about having the most expensive wardrobe — it’s about using what you have to express who you are.
Alongside fashion, I also run a second page called KdramaKels, where I share my love for Korean dramas. It started as a passion project, but it’s grown into a community of people who connect over storytelling, culture, and style. In many ways, it ties back to fashion too — K-dramas inspire a lot of trends, and I love being able to merge those worlds.
My brand is still growing, but it’s rooted in consistency, authenticity, and a willingness to take risks. Since starting late last year, I’ve posted over 50 times and hit milestones I never imagined — thousands of impressions, engagement from people I’ve never met, and real connections with a community that’s building day by day.
Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding across platforms like TikTok and continuing to create content that stands out. I want my brand to grow into not just fashion inspiration, but also storytelling — whether that’s through style or K-dramas — and ultimately, to be a reminder that it’s never too late to take a risk and create the life you want.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been curiosity, intentional planning, and under-promising while over-delivering. Staying curious pushed me to keep learning and experimenting, planning kept me focused on creating content that truly benefits others, and under-promising while over-delivering built trust and consistency. My advice: ask “why” often, plan with your audience in mind, and always strive to give more than expected.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I take a step back and remind myself why I started in the first place. I ask myself, “Am I still enjoying this?” That question grounds me and brings me back to my purpose. I also reflect on how far I’ve come since the beginning — sometimes we forget to celebrate the progress we’ve already made, and that perspective shift makes it easier to keep moving forward.
