Meet Kelly Lewis

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kelly Lewis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kelly , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from a mix of life experiences and the people who’ve shaped me. I’ve faced my share of challenges, but each one taught me something about perseverance. My faith and the support of loved ones give me the strength to push through, especially during the toughest times. It’s that inner fire and the belief that every setback is just a setup for a comeback.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a writer, content creator, and chef. I recently published my first romantic comedy, “Dating Fumbles,” which is available as both an e-book and paperback on Amazon. I’m currently working on the second book, so more love and laughs are on the way! As Chef Lew, I’m also working on a cookbook and creating more foodie content that combines my love for cooking and storytelling. What excites me most is blending my passions for writing and food to create experiences that inspire and delight. Stay tuned for more books, recipes, and exciting culinary collaborations!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Resilience kept me going through the ups and downs, creativity fueled my passion for both writing and cooking, and the desire to constantly learn allowed me to grow and adapt. My advice for those just starting out is to embrace setbacks as lessons, stay true to your unique vision, and never stop seeking knowledge—whether that’s through books, experiences, or connecting with others who inspire you. Growth is a continuous process, so stay curious and be patient with the journey.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I’m always open to collaboration and partnerships. I’m currently looking to connect with a literary agent and publishing company to take my writing career to the next level. In addition, I’d love to collaborate with mentors in both the culinary and literary worlds to continue growing and learning from those who have more experience. If you’re interested in working together or think you could be a great fit, feel free to reach out! You can connect with me through social media or email, and I’d be excited to explore opportunities together.
